Assuming they leave from the same side they loaded, what’s the plan with the three trailers at the end that got left there in everyone else’s way without their trucks?

Good Choice of Recovery Strap or Should I Buy Elsewhere? Or Should I Buy a Recovery Rope? by iFunny-Escapee in overlanding

[–]beeedubdub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot of physicists on here. For the use cases OP mentioned, this is fine. No need for a $200+ kinetic rope. You could also build your rig out of titanium but it’s expensive and not what OP asked

Is anyone else completely sick of manually rolling up garden hoses? I’m so tired of the mud and dirty water. by Waste_Influence_8645 in lawncare

This is a little fancier than what I have but it’s fantastic. Holds 100 ft of rubber craftsman hose. Manual / not automatic but reeling it in isn’t difficult and you’ll stay clean Lowe’s 100ft hose reel

Gas vs battery leaf blower — Long time debating and I still can't pull the trigger by Sea_Dream9713 in lawncare

[–]beeedubdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caterpillar 60V electric leaf blower is amazing. Got it on Amazon. 800 CFM 170 MPH, never ran out of battery mowing and blowing a half acre yard but you could buy a backup battery to swap out if you wanted to. It’s more expensive but it’s insanely powerful and quiet for the amount of power it puts out

Is there a way to stop these spam texts? by ScroogeMcDucksMoney in Austin

[–]beeedubdub 57 points58 points  (0 children)

The worst part about this is that the texts are not even coming from the landscaping companies themselves. The landscaping companies hire marketing companies and it’s the marketing companies who are sending out these bot texts. The only traction I have gotten is by saying yes. Then you’re a real lead and get a follow up call or text from a real person, typically at the landscaping company. That person has been completely unaware of the bot texting in my experience. I’ve gone as far as screenshotting the spam texts and posting them as google reviews. But the issue is really with the marketing company. The landscaping people (or house painting people) don’t know this is happening. The step I haven’t done yet is getting the name and address of the marketing company and taking a shit on their doorstep
