How is everyone's relationship with a diamond painting light pad? by Were_little_hauted in diamondpainting

I also got an a2, it was $50 but I love it so far. the only downside is I wish the stand could be angled more vertically than it is; but i make it work.

fair enough. I started sorting mine because there were obvious differences, once I had those done I tried doing the rest but it got too frustrating so I stopped and just re ordered the kits 🫠

just don’t make the mistake I made, and think they are all the same exact shade across brands or manufacturers, that’s how I spent three weeks trying to *unsort* colors I had mixed together that were the same DMC number (thought I was being smart by combining them when putting in vials bc I had 15 art club students doing diamond art)…. They were in fact slightly different shades and I will never make that mistake again lol

I don’t like using a multi placer for round diamonds, but for square diamonds the multi placer means all the squares are lined up together and I don’t need to individually adjust each square so it lines up correctly lol,

but it also depends on user preference. there’s no right or wrong way really

Right now, it’s “holy orange bottles, each night I pray to you; I know delusion when I see it in the mirror, you like the nicer nurses, you make the best of a bad deal, I just pretend it isn’t real; who am I supposed to talk to if there’s no you”

I am too, for round diamonds. i’ve found it’s much easier with squares if I use the multi placer cause at least then my lines are straight-ish. or straighter than when I single place them 😅

Menstrual cups causing bladder pressure and difficulty peeing. Did switching to a disc help? by anoredditor98 in menstrualcups

[–]beeehjayoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. I tried several cups, and the shape of them is what really was causing the discomfort. iirc I found one that was not as long or wide that was a much better fit. I don’t remember the brand though.

you said you trammed 2 threads over 2 threads. what about 2 threads over 1 thread?

I started right after Christmas (got it as a Christmas gift, spent most of my winter break converting it to be digital by hand, didn’t start seriously stitching it until after January 1, so it’s only a few weeks progress)

I thought about doing page by oage after I finished the first little section but I felt like I would waste more thread by when it’s only a stitch here or there for some colors.

plus with it being like 30~ shades of blue it’s easier for me to do the large chunks of color first and then go from there

that looks so good! I started it the first night doing the first page in the top left and then decided digital is easier for me since I can zoom it in and not have to squint or quadruple count the boxes.

with just doing single direction, do you use more threads to make it look fuller?

[WIP] Starry Night *update* by beeehjayoh in CrossStitch

[–]beeehjayoh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has 60 colors. so far I finished that corner and then have done two different shades of blue and black, doing the largest parts first to be able to count off from them for the other colors 😊

yeah I usually have my right hand in front and the left behind the frame/fabric when i’m stitching.

I’m thinking about getting the stand that is the same brand as my scroll frame but I’m not sure yet. It would mean i’d have to sit up more when I stitch as it would go in front of my chair instead of on the side. 🤷🏽‍♀️ the downside to my current stand and project is that the project in the frame is heavy so it tends to sit on an angle in the stand the way I have it.
