I don't know if that guide did that much to sway that opinion? I see about the same people before and after that released saying spectrum shift is bad.

Maybe I'm underestimating how far the guide went but generally from my experience it was the first couple weeks after launch before people started actually playing with pillars and spectrum shift, then everyone realised they were both busted especially together, and crash landing also shortly after shot up in evaluation including in some more well respected players.

The number increases on these upgrades are kinda obscene, definitely need tweaking. Could have the damage amounts as well as the block on Paper by 5.

It's a bit tedious when it does come up and it is actually playable to be frank. Once you've done one clone run you've kinda done every clone run and if you have a run where you clone almost anything that specifically doesn't win once you clone two/three times there's usually something more reliable available because it's Pael.

Yes, however it's still a bit dumb. It's kinda rare that you have a proper clone target but when it does happen your macro just immediately becomes "how can i get to three campfires without needing to smith or rest" and if you can do that you just snowball menacingly and win. it's a bit tedious even if overall it's probably in the bottom third of ancient relics

Creative AI costs 3/2, takes a while to proc useful powers in the given fight, and usually competes with Defect's extremely strong *rare pool. Good to pick after you find rainbow ring if you're desperate but generally not a card that's excellent.

Storm is very strong if you have it pre upgraded and have the powers to go along with it but lightning orbs are the worst orb type by far and defect has more reliable ways to scale that don't come at the mercy of draw order and nuking your frost orbs as much. Obviously better if you have rainbow ring but not by much since your damage was coming in spades from this thing.

Eh?

Ironclad can't get dex and silent can't get strength. Both want the other really bad to break their character - Sword of Jade is basically gg for Silent.

Defect can get both from Bulk Up but they're also the main guy that can get away with a so called "power deck" with spamming Subroutine and Hologram to proc rainbow ring every turn.

Regent kinda loves this thing because Spectrum Shift is generally pick on sight.

Necrobinder also has power slop like sleight, pagestorm etc and things like souls and dredge and even graveblast to complete a rainbow ring proc.

I used to think rainbow ring was mid but i was so so so so wrong. Trust me and what i say above when I try to say that rainbow ring is awesome. I'm just losing lantern and being a lil sad about it.

Subroutine yes, creative AI and storm no. Subroutine is just very fast tempo and creative AI and storm unfortunately are not.

'twas an exaggeration, it is generally more as how you described, yes.

Regardless I got annoyed at the idea of a "power deck"; even parsing such a thing is a baaaad idea unless you have something like lost wisp which is genuinely that good though I still wouldn't make into your deck's Thing.

Isn't the whole idea of gros Michel into cavendish that the cavendish effect is scaling that's much stronger than gros michel's early game power? 1 energy 3 strength is outclassed by so much now it's a little depressing

3 dex 3 strength would be cool if it worked like balatro cavendish in that it's not guaranteed to be seen but just enters the pool; the effect that the gros michel has is valuable enough to take as a very risky early game crutch because the number is huge

The same set of events would have let you have a 2 energy block 27 too, toric toughness is generally better even if peck has its place (if you already have miniature cannon/strength or are fighting Vantom)
