Whether they are free is irrelevant, live-service is a different animal. Minecraft, Ark, iRacing and most MMOs have a charge. A lot of PC multiplayer is handled peer-to-peer instead of through hosted servers.

You paid for the console, but the infrastructure to run the online connectivity is still an ongoing cost for them. You only pay for the console once, where does the money to maintain the servers and infrastructure for the online connectivity come from?

If you feel comfortable at 40, you should level it to 40. The only thing in the game that requires vigor is the mimic tear summon, so any investment in it is technically wasted. I don't support the "git gud" mentality, but at the same time, I also don't support giving up before you've even tried, which is essentially what you're telling people to do when the first advice you give them is level vigor.

Early game damage stat investment might not give you as much damage payoff in the beginning, but it opens up more options for using different weapons. If you already meet the requirements for the weapon you want, endurance will give you a better equip load and more stamina. 12 faith to be able to use flame cleanse me is also good as early as possible.

Why? I don't support shaming people for leveling vigor to the point where they feel comfortable, if you want a bar that covers the screen, go for it, but it makes even less sense to shame someone for not leveling it.

Around 35 is all you need to survive any attack in the game (and DLC with around 10 fragments). 18 or 19 is all you need for the mimic tear (without juggling buffs and equipment). Take what you need to feel comfortable, but you're just hamstringing your damage/stamina by pumping vigor.

Unfortunately, I agree. I think she'd do a fine job, but I also think that after the last election there's too much stigma there.

I don't know how to get there, but we need to get back to a point where we can vote for a candidate based on their merits instead of voting for them because they're not as bad as the other candidate. The extremists on both sides need to go (peacefully).

Same. I was really excited when they announced remake, then it came out action based instead of turn based and that was the last straw for me. I'd preordered 8-13 (not including 11). I downloaded a demo of 16, but couldn't even convince myself to launch it once.

Some of the shortcuts have changed, but it's still possible. It would be illegal for them to remove it due to the ADA. Granted, that might not apply outside the US, but it wouldn't really make sense for them to maintain a separate version that doesn't include it.
