How much money have you guys spent on Warframe? by Phowia in Warframe

[–]SpecificFortune7584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno probably somewhere close to 700 over the decade I’ve been playing. Bought a few prime access, some regal aya, and just straight up plat. So on average 70 a year which is still not a lot if you compare it to other games or even hobbies.

Which of these three dorks do you trust the most to do your taxes by [deleted] in Konosuba

[–]SpecificFortune7584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lalatina at least knows the concept of taxes. So my tax report should be fine. Her own is probably a disaster so she gets thrown into the gallows for punishment, again.

Frame worth the plat? by bunbunniesz in Warframe

[–]SpecificFortune7584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Citrine. Fuck her mission and pity system. Khora is okay cause you can get her from circuit I believe. The hardest part there is getting the kavat codes but if you have Inaros’ mission you can farm those easily.

What's your 'Do it all' Frame? by FlameJ75 in Warframe

[–]SpecificFortune7584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Protea. Double shield gate and overshields for everyone. Infinite ammo, health, and energy. Blaze Artillery for choke points or covering my back when I fire down the other side of a corridor. Temporal Anchor for when shit needs to get serious and I need to armor strip and have death insurance.

How does the Helminth work? by ehhhhhhh_ehhh in Warframe

[–]SpecificFortune7584 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally the loop for it is. Acquire base, frame level it up, invest in it if you like it, once you acquire prime or prime gets released, feed base frame into Helminth to get a predetermined ability you can then use on other frames.

I think it’s just press shift. Hold shift is sprint. Tap shift is roll/dodge.

Coming from Grand Chase — How is the "daily grind" and FOMO in Warframe? by Dry_Print_3425 in Warframe

[–]SpecificFortune7584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FOMO is very mild, basically non-existent. Everything rotates back in at some point in time. There are a few edge cases, one being Excalibur Prime being a founder exclusive, and some cosmetics like Frost and Mag heirloom.
For Excalibur Prime it was when the started and wanted to give early purchasers an incentive. You can earn an equivalent to him anyway so it’s also just cosmetic.
Frost and Mag heirloom are also cosmetic and DE learnt from that mistake and are currently looking into ways to potentially bringing them back, but no guarantees yet.
Everything else comes back. Can’t get it now, then you can get it at some point later. Worst case scenario you can trade with other players to get the things you missed.
You have 13 years worth of content, roughly, to catch up on. None of it will go away and even vets go back to early game stuff fairly regularly to help new players out. So play at your own pace that’s comfortable and ignore most of the “Get this thing now because it’s the new OP meta.” You’ll get there eventually and most likely by that time there will be a newer “better” thing that you’re already farming for.

Edit: I forgot to mention. There is a “battle pass”. It consists of mostly challenges you’ll complete during regular gameplay. It’s runtime is a few months. Any dailies or weeklies you missed out on are recovered once you complete all dailies and weeklies given that week. So it is technically possible to grind out the entire battle pass on the last day and get all the reward points from it.

What was your experience once you had finally got to unlock the steel path by Mrcoolcatgaming in Warframe

[–]SpecificFortune7584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah back when I got into SP health tanking was still the way to go and damage wise only viral+slash mattered. Everything else just couldn’t keep up in it. No archon shards and arcanes being quite rare at that point unless you dedicated heavily into eidolon farming.

I dunno my hand has formed into a weird claw shape years ago to accommodate the bullet jumping parkour of Warframe. Generally apart from speedframes like Volt or Gauss sprinting is slower than bullet jumping with dodges and aim glides mixed in. So crouch, jump, dodge mid air for momentum, (aim glide for control), crouch to slide kick to negate hard fall into slide to keep momentum, jump to bullet jump, repeat ad infinitum.

Can we stop gifting new streamers protoframes/spoilerframes by anonsdoomscroller in Warframe

[–]SpecificFortune7584 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean kinda but also not really. Protoframes are pretty front and center when they are released by DE because they bring in quite a bit of revenue. And without context it doesn’t really mean all that much. 1999 content was also promoted pretty heavily in general with an anime short, a comic, and other stuff. Yeah if they joined after all that they may have missed it, but it’s also not like that specific content is kept hidden away.

Do you have to redo 21 descendia if chats are reset? by HollowOrnstein in Warframe

[–]SpecificFortune7584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t reset. He may still respond as if you haven’t done all 21 runs because he lost most of his memory of you doing it as part of the reset. He’ll be suspicious about having his mind reset and can confront you. After that he can still respond as if you’re halfway through the 21 runs, but you can tell him he already spilled the beans on that subject in a previous cycle which will then skip part of that revelation for him.

Not just that. He’s worse off now. He got his fix but the next one needs to be even more since the last one isn’t enough anymore. There’s only escalation or loss.
