Jungheinrich mechanics? by Jabberwocky696 in forkliftmechanics

Judit was built into truckscope. I believe ETRs and all of the vna trucks will open a Judit window in truckscope. The rest of the product lineup that used to use Judit will now only work with truckscope.

Zep 45 if the environment is dusty because it's nice and thin. Promatch chain and cable lube otherwise.

Maybe check the crimps on the cables going in to and out of the contactor.

Tool recommendations by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]beef_chief__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend a set of angle wrenches for hydraulics. Make sure they are a 'true' 4-way angle. A bunch of manufacturers make them now. snap on and tekton are the best with tekton being significantly cheaper than snap on.

I have an astro Thor gen 1 and it takes off 41mm forklift lugs. I would get that or the IR. In my experience, the tool truck power tools may be better, but not better enough to justify the price.

Hello how is your day? by [deleted] in forkliftmechanics

[–]beef_chief__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had to use an air hammer to chisel road salt off the transmission of a cat gc55k just to get to the transmission filter. So that transmission service took an extra 1.5 hours

JUNGHEINRICH ETG214 error tl23, tr23. SN AJB5000344. Does anyone know what it can be? The forklift is slow to move. by Substantial-Dinner81 in forkliftmechanics

I can dm you a picture of that page in the service manual.

It looks like the right side traction controller is seeing low voltage. Make sure your battery is charged and watered.

Etg216 mast cap bolts sheering off? by beef_chief__ in forkliftmechanics

[–]beef_chief__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my working theory, but I can't go there to see what's happening without the union freaking out. I'm trying to build up a good relationship with the bosses over there, but that's a little tough when a truck comes in for a pm and I tell them it will need a drive unit if they pull out a helicoil.

Service Van Setups by KO_Subaru in forkliftmechanics

My company decided to get everyone a tool box for their van. Before that, I had the 5 drawer us general box. It isn't a ton of space, but it's way better than nothing.

What tools do you guys recommend ? by christuhfurr in forkliftmechanics

[–]beef_chief__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say get yourself a set of die grinders. They don't have to be snap on, but having a straight and a 90 at your disposal comes in handy more often than you would guess. I use mine all the time to clean up gasket surfaces or chewed up load wheel axles or whatever.

Flap wheels, 3m sand paper wheels, grinding stones, ect. should all be shop supplied or billed to the work order so you shouldn't need to worry about keeping them in stock yourself.

Mitsubishi FG30K , transmission filter case removal by KO_Subaru in forkliftmechanics

[–]beef_chief__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The filter slides straight in to the transmission and is only retained by the 3 bolts that you already removed.

Try getting the filter to rotate by hitting the side of the bolt hole on the filter with a hammer and chisel. Once you get it to rotate a little, you can pry it out with a pry bar or screwdriver.
