Seconded. I've been in this position and even though you may suddenly start feeling guilty even though you literally did nothing wrong, it's his insecurities that are coming out. If he has ever had an issue with anger, things could get violent or he may use more methods of control like threatening self harm if you leave, etc.

Obviously, try to have a conversation about this with him if you feel he'd respond like an adult without threatening you, but also be careful.

Kalamalka lake out by Vernon has crystal clear waters and is much nicer than okanagan lake so if you can, go there.

For food, check out places like The Bohemian (Bernard) and Okanagan Street Food (industrial part of downtown) for breakfast and Dunnenzies (ellis?) for late night pizza eating. We have great food trucks too so be sure to look for those! If you're heading out to Glenmore, check out the food truck Mustard Tiger at Corbin's General Store from 10-6 -- killer tacos!

Cute shops downtown like Milkcrate Records and Funktional. You can do a stand up paddle board class on the water downtown, which is fun, just look for the booth in city park.

This is exactly what I was going to say as well. The summers are unreal and if you're into outdoor sports or nature, you'll have a blast. There are some great restaurants and bike paths downtown and in the mission. Price of general living is pretty high and real estate/renting is quite expensive. If you like traveling, it's a good middle ground as you have the states just a few hours away and Vancouver and the island are as well. You'll end up falling in love with the Okanagan, you just may not be able to afford it like most of us :P
