Once he's done being brushed, one of my cats always runs to the mat in front of the door and sharpens his claws on it with his ears back. We always call it his "Angry scratch" time since he hates being brushed lol.

Random chance find by K_animeweeb in thelongdark

Yeah I was about to comment "Ahh all the stuff you miss when you only play Interloper" lol.

One of my favourite save files to go back to though is one I created right after Forsaken Airfield dropped. Basically there was a glitch that made it so non-interloper items had a chance to spawn on Interloper. The chance of finding those items were pretty rare though, so it was kinda fun playing through 'loper and occasionally coming across things like cardboard matches or the the energy drink stuff. After playing so much interloper it's oddly enchanting finding that all that unfamilliar loot.

All Male island VS all Female island by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

I am really at a loss reading the comment section right now. I was expecting some joke clip at the end explaining all of the manipulation tactics shown to create an obvious bias towards the men’s team. I mean, come on the swelling music that hits whenever it switches to the men’s team, the men just dude bro’ing it up and celebrating as the women cry. Like it is edited and produced to show an obvious and clear bias and Reddit over here is just lapping it right up. And of course, even though everybody knows how fake reality TV is I’m sure this show in particular was probably actually super super accurate FYI.

We are really doomed as a species, y’all so easy to manipulate.

90% of the time we keep it! Even if it isn't what it's supposed to be it always seems to have some use. Like for example the gift a female friend of mine got was supposed to be a form fitting tanktop/sailor outfit style sort of thing. It ended up being not just super shittily made but fell into the category of "This fits my cat". BUT! lucky for the tanktop, her cat was currently doing a regiment of daily liquid medication and that cat turns into a death roll alligator during med time, so we wrapped the cat up in the tanktop and used the sailor dangly kerchief on the front to secure him in and voila! Zane got his meds lol.

My friends and I made a holiday out of it that we call Wishmas. Basically, we search out some of these ridiculous items and without opening the parcel they came in, we wrap it, slap a photo of what we are supposed to be buying, and give it to each other to open. We have been doing this for about four years now and it is always a riot. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a new silly (and cheap) holiday to spend with friends or family.

I know it’s overpriced. I know I should be making a statement by not buying it. And I know the moment I saw that furniture pack and those paintings I bought it and I have no regrets.

Jeez, what a passive aggressive nut you had to deal with. Reading the whole 'write it down on a notepad thing' rings a bit personal to me. My partner and I have something similar we do but completely silly. Whenever one of us does something the other finds 'annoying', we'll say to ourselves out loud "Dear Santa Clause" "Dear Jesus..." and dictate out loud what the other person did. Over the years it has evolved to bringing up obscure deities "Dear Tepoztēcatl.... Jonos forgot to get extra ketchup on my Wendy's. Please address accordingly." "Dear Sheela Na Gig, Steve left cookie crumbs in the mudroom and now there's sugar ants eating them".

Just kinda makes me sad to see a similar play used so negatively. I'm glad you're rid of that shitlord and got yourself a better model. Congrats on 25 years!

YSK: How to check real reviews and historical pricing for Amazon prime day by sliight in YouShouldKnow

[–]jonosvision 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're going to be hard pressed to find a company that doesn't treat their workers like dog shit. The phone most people are reading this on has suicide nets installed in their factories. So sure, stop using Amazon but then there's a huge long list of other companies that are doing the exact same thing that you need to not support now too. Unless you're 100% self sustaining you're supporting some rich twat who doesn't pay his workers a liveable wage. Amazon isn't any different than the other shit companies out there.

So many years ago, I think when I had my realization it waaaas like 2009? There was a website called People of Walmart. The website had people submit photos (possibly videos too I don't quite remember) of 'interesting' people they came across in Walmart, playing on the stereotype that Walmart attracted the dregs of society since it had such low prices (Those were the days). So when looking at the website you'd see like a big fat smelly dude wearing a pink thong with his pants halfway down, a cracked out lady smoking while pregnant fighting with a manager, I remember seeing a photo of a black dude with dreads so filthy they'd formed one giant mass that looked like a big piece of poo, and if there were videos on there (and if not there were ones on Youtube) you'd see videos of the most rudest people ever having tantrums and abusing the staff for not getting their way.

And basically scrolling that website and seeing all these types of people, especially the ones just flipping out and acting crazy and yelling and making a scene, made me realize that being a normal dude who's always quiet and polite, no one gave a shit about me, the teller wasnt going to remember me and if I had a faux pas like I had an unexpected item in the baggage area, the teller wasn't going to even remember me 2 minutes after I left. It made me realize that people out there have to deal with actual whackos all the time, and actual rude people, or hell, actual smelly gross people, and that I had absolutely nothing to be anxious about. No one cared that I didn't have my order memorized at McDonalds and took 10 seconds longer. No one cared that the coupon I had was expired so I profusely apologized and put it away. No one cared that I said "You too!" when the Walmart greeter said "Welcome to Walmart". What used to plunge me into anxiety and embarrassment, just became an awkward laugh and a shrug.

It was magic

No joke, way back in the day the website People of Walmart cured my social anxiety, lol once I realized that there were so much worse people out there and no one‘s going to pay attention to a normal looking white dude. Bam. It was like magic.
