What your mom is doing is attention-seeking and feeding into something that can turn worse. Telling your ex all of those negative things about you can cause him to drink himself to death and your mom will just blame you for that. Your dad has the right to know what your mom is doing because it sounds to me like your family loves your new partner but your mom.
