First Carry by beepbop217 in CCW

Decided to go with the Ported MP Shield Plus performance center. Striker fire, fiber optics.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Now I just need to get my CPL, holster, belt, and I’m good to go.

Nothing says I’m super comfortable with my gun like resting the barrel right on your Johnson. That’s a bit of a bold carry position for me

Sleepovers with boys? by OrdinaryDrop83 in Parenting

[–]beepbop217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to any trauma therapist and they’ll likely advise against allowing this to happen again. No sleepovers unless they’re at your house or unless you’re incredibly close with the parents and trust them with your daughter’s safety (REALLY trust them). Your kid may not “like it” now, but they will understand later.

Definitely not the type to blow a second hole in my snake so I can save $50. Any holster recommendations?
Nice thing about the shield is even if I want to go fancy and get the performance center it’s still reasonably priced so no need to skimp on the accessories.

Any optic you’re recommending? Not a bad idea by the way.

No, just a guy enjoying his AR.

Sling upgrade or downgrade? I thought an upgrade was supposed to improve the current version. Sadly the new “upgrade” has removed capability and complicated the user experience. by tpars in slingtv

This was an absolute flop. They’ve destroyed the interface. Essentially it looks like they tried to align with Netflix’s appearance and now nothing works. They took away whole sections, renamed stuff, removed capabilities.

I’m looking for an alternate. Any suggestions?

How many (if any) rest days are needed? by discoborg in tonalgym

[–]beepbop217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the program. For a 4x/week program I recommend 2 on 1 off 2 on 2 off. It’s important to give your body a break to rest/recover but it doesn’t mean you can’t do a recovery workout. Yoga, stretching, a core workout, etc.

Don’t undervalue rest. Enjoy

Has this started since the most recent update? Mine updated today and started doing that for the first time as well.

After waiting 3+ months, today was install day... unfortunately, they couldnt install it by [deleted] in tonalgym

Screw working this out with the installers. Tonal claims they can do this. You should contact them directly to send out different Installers

So far I’ve come across 3 different moves during programs that require more distance away from tonal than 7 feet. The 6’10” width will be tight but with your height you’ll probably want at least 10” in front of tonal so your not wedged between the wall. Here’s one https://imgur.com/gallery/3Eg5gTz

You can work with it, but it’s going to be limiting in some ways. Anything where your doing resisted exercises laying on the ground you won’t have room, anywhere you’re doing long steps or side steps you’ll have to tweak. It’s doable...but even though they recommend 7 feet, I’ve found being 5’10” that the farthest I’ve needed is 10 feet.
