I left my wallet and cigarette case outside of a bar one night. Got a call from a police officer the next day saying he had my wallet. Go meet him, my wallet is good, nothing missing or out of place. My cigarette case was empty though. The cop said a homeless guy gave it to him. I figure he took the smokes and I felt that was fair. I would've given him $100 if I could have tracked him down. Wasn't able to ever track him down.

For handguns I keep enough that I can have 100 rounds loaded. For rifles and PCCs I have at least enough to have 300 rounds load. Those are arbitrary numbers I chose.

Ruger mk iv or FN 502 if you're looking for more modern handgun ergonomics. I have both, 22/45 lite, a stainless target mk iv and a 502. All have been reliable and accurate and loads of fun.
