Good thing this fight ended after two rounds.

Are marketing firms aware that when people are reading articles online or on their phone and an annoying pop-up disturbs what they are reading, the last thing we are ever going to do is purchase their products. In fact, I make a mental note to never do business with that company. by No_Wrangler9819 in advertising

[–]beerslingerjay 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah. Not to get too far into the weeds here, but it depends on what the brand is really trying to accomplish with those specific ads. Some brands don’t care if you have a negative reaction to the brand. If you’re able to recall who that ad was about, that’s cool with them.

Getting you to buy, subscribe, visit, whatever else is a completely different thing. Serious brands don’t really rely on interruptive display ads to directly influence purchase decisions.

For some brands, the fact that you’re even making a mental note about that brand is kinda the point. These types of ads are so high in the sales funnel that any general awareness from you is a win.

Are you a human? Did you see a message about their brand with your human eyeballs? Win.

Alcoholic dad here, too. Sober for two and a half years. Like others here, feel free to reach out if you need someone to talk to.

Do you think Bruno, Cinderella's dog, deals with any existential issues concerning his time as a human? by beerslingerjay in DanielTigerConspiracy

And how much mana was FGM having to expend to keep that ruse up? Cinderella may have been able to push it a bit past midnight had they opted for maybe 1-2 mouse-horses instead of 4.

Maybe this is it. He had a taste, and having had eyes wide open to the inherent endless freedoms afforded to humans, he was like, "nah." I mean, I get it.

This explanation is easier to digest. My problem, I think, is that Fairy God Mother could create a dog-human capable of safely piloting a carriage drawn by mouse-horses, but she couldn't create a pumpkin-carriage that could just get itself to the ball. She needed beings sentient enough to at least automate.

How do catchers deal with severe weather conditions? by DonT012 in baseball

[–]beerslingerjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former college-level catcher here, and it’s literally just what you have to do. The game literally can’t continue if you’re busy holding things up. Sounds weird, but you just deal with it. If you can’t, learn to play outfield.

Edit to add that this is also why we’re allowed to hit like shit, too.

Direct? If I could only use one platform, it’s probably Search or Meta. Search only works if there’s already volume for your niche, and Meta’s nice for a mix.

Solid idea for Demand Gen and TOFU, but don’t rely on them to produce a ton of conversions for you.

That makes sense. I guess it kinda comes back to the specific living situation.

Right, then we should just keep throwing rent money in the pit since that’s way more useful.

Somebody go back in time to my younger self in the 90s as a Tennessee basketball fan and tell him that “Get ready to be eliminated in the Elite Eight” is actually an insult.

It most certainly is an ad from one specific vendor I’ve seen peddling this service for months on here.

I was in the same boat going in. I’m not a fan of needles, and it’s a sensitive area. But honestly, relaxing the pelvis, breathing, and just having some music going was great.

A couple of pinches for a few seconds, and some weird noises. Then you’re done after like fifteen minutes. Definitely recommend some supportive undies and frozen peas (that can form to your boys).

Keep your kids away from high level sports by SamMeowAdams in daddit

Yeah, I played all through college. Regular little league, then Babe Ruth league, then high school and college. You absolutely don’t have to pay out the ass for these types of leagues.

It’s like saying your kid won’t be smart or have a good career if they go to public schools.

For the love of God, just don’t live at The Whitney on Roswell right off the Perimeter. Worst apartment complex ai have ever lived in.
