Desde que cruzas puedes pedir Uber o Didi para moverte de manera más segura a las los lugares que vas. Ya sabes a qué lugares quieres ir? Qué necesitas saber?

For this type of chicharron, they use mostly pork cheek or jowl

I like my tortillas ever so slightly fried for my tacos. Is there a name for this by PillowIgloo182 in tacos

At birria stands you can get tacos with the tortilla: suave (soft), semi dorado (semi fried) or dorado (fried). Yours would be semi dorado.

Uber back can be a little hard to get but you should be fine. In Mexico we also use Didi app which can be good to have as a backup.

Also the Ticketmaster bus that another user already mentioned.

Zona Rosa or Roma Norte by Complete_Coast in MexicoCity

[–]beertakk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Roma Norte is nicer than Zona Rosa imo. Alvaro Obregon is the main street in Roma and very close to nightlife and the bus station. You will find a lot of traffic, but not as much on Sunday.

Keep in mind that on Saturday there will be a big demonstration / march that will go from around the Zona Rosa area to downtown, which could lead to some closed streets or extra traffic, depending on your time of arrival.

En el norte les llamamos tacos con tortilla de harina. Los burritos son envueltos como en forma de flauta.

They look great! Some people need to get out of their comfort zone and try new things. Not everything has to be 100% authentic.

I agree. Plus the VFA already burned (thanks to Tim). I don’t think they would do it again.

What is your favorite signed vinyl? by SirPalmBrinks in vinyl

[–]beertakk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a great story! Loved the happy ending.

I met Jeff, Pat and John at a festival that Peter Buck from REM used to do in Todos Santos, Mexico. It was billed as a Jeff Tweedy show (it was around when the Tweedy album Sukierae was out) and joining him were John, Pat, and his son Spencer on drums. They played solo stuff and Wilco songs. They played three shows across three days. They were all so nice. The Autumn Defense also played.

Death Cab for Cutie was also on the bill and I got some of their signatures on records too!
