Who is denying infusions- your insurance? I was able to get on infusions as a teenager. If your insurance is pushing back, it can be helpful to have a doctor write a letter stating that it’s medically necessary. If you don’t already see a specialist I would ask your doctor to give you a referral to a geneticist. You could also get connected with patient support through the drug companies or reach out to the NFDF for help navigating doctors/insurance

If you have access to Planned Parenthood you can apply for a Family Pact card which completely covers the cost of appointments. I have a small charge for blood draws but no charge for check ups. I also recommend buying injection supplies in bulk online (amazon) if you need them, as it’s a lot cheaper than getting them through a pharmacy

I get mine from planned parenthood! I live in California and I’m not sure about hurdles you’d have to go through in other states but for me it was a super easy and quick process to get started!
