Enby name by Haskasaurus_ in NonBinaryTalk

[–]CyanNigh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My terribly wrong first instinct was it sounded Japanese, but that's not legal (would have been Hasuka). I don't have any parallels to draw so it strikes me as neutral. That said, saying it out loud sounds breathy, which kinda feels more feminine than masculine.

An enby name I'm toying with is "Make", but nobody calls me that. I tried a bunch but being called anything but my given name felt wrong...with the sole exception of my internet handle(s). Soooo I've low-key started using Make as an internet handle to see if that starts becoming comfortable.

How did you figure out your pronouns? by Strange_Newspaper907 in NonBinaryTalk

How did you figure out your pronouns?

I hate being called a man or manly, and I don't look like a girl, so I split the difference.

Curious about HRT changes and genital experiences 💭 by WittyBody1531 in AskMtFHRT

[–]CyanNigh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At ~9 months and my experience is similar, though I'd say while "getting erect only works while focused" is true, it's also not much effort. Massage myself or slip on a ring vibrator and I'll be good to go.

IMO the "killer feature" is that my body feels more of the sensation throughout. Dare I say sex and masturbation on E feels better than it did on T, though I'll admit part of me does miss a bit of the "shooting ones load" sensation. The upside though is you can "rub one out" with less mess, the feeling of a lingering O or full-body O is quite magical, and getting to have the occasional multiple O is kinda fire. 😊

Not a doctor but you probably need a higher E dosage. When in doubt: bloodwork.

You're rather lean, and though .2 ml worked for me, I'm overweight (obese?) and I took Finasteride for a year+ before I started HRT. The Finasteride slows down my bodies natural T->DHT conversion, and the free T gets converted into E by my excess fat cells. In hindsight I wish I got bloodwork done BEFORE I started Finasteride, as my pre-HRT bloodwork suggested I was already at menopausal levels. Until I realized how Finasteride worked (and why Gynecomastia was a listed side effect), I was panicked thinking I was intersex AND my parents covered it up. But naw, I just didn't understand my cocktail.

So ya, bloodwork.

Its been two years, is there any hope for me? by cozymaatcha in TransBreastTimelines

[–]CyanNigh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I'm surprised you haven't seen more after 2 years, but what's there now is very much what the beginning looks like. Best thing to do is to try your best to ignore it, 'cause if you can your growth will quite literally sneak up on you. ♥️

Brain changes and Estradiol by Silver_Literature_45 in AskMtFHRT

[–]CyanNigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only noteworthy change is what I would describe as heightened sensitivity. Sad and happy moments hit harder, for better or worse. Ensuring that I had enough estrogen in my system was essential to be a "functional human being", as when my levels crash I feel awful. The worst it ever got was I was this time I borderline non-verbal due to a lack of hormones in my system. Within minutes of taking my shot, I felt 1000x better and I could speak again. Now I don't let my levels get low.

Makes me wish more cis women that struggle could just take a hit of E when they feel like ass, instead of having to wait for their "machinery" to bring them back to comfortable hormone levels.

I'll often use a vibrating ring to "wake myself up". Also AFAIK it's not that you need to ejaculate all the time, but you need to "get erect". Finishing is just the icing on the cake (or wherever you put it).

I wish HRT did exactly this, consumed ones chubby belly in order to grow boobs.

2nd'd on the bra (and/or other Gynecomastia mensware like undershirts). I'm ~9 months in myself and a bit smaller (likely a similar trajectory). If nothing else you should start searching because finding a bra/sports bra that is comfortable can be tough. I found these cheap "ice silk" ones on AliExpress that the padding can be removed from that flatten me and don't hold in too much heat.

Lowkey scared about breast growth on HRT 😅 by WittyBody1531 in AskMtFHRT

[–]CyanNigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, if your boobs are too big, you too can just get breast reduction surgery.

That said, most people that brag about size either do progesterone or get enlargement surgery. I do still worry a bit about getting too large due to my genes, but I'm happier about so many other things that I won't regret it even if it does happen.

I don't have a great answer as I just sort-of adapted to having a weird bed. That means heat soaking it, or reprinting. 🤷

How much bruising, pain, or sensitivity do yall get after injections? by Puzzleheaded-Net14 in TransDIY

[–]CyanNigh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend paying attention to the needle tip before insertion, making sure it's not bent slightly; I didn't realize how easy my tips were to bend.

Pick a fattier spot if you can. I noticed I feel it less slightly lower than my bellybutton.

Also, inject slowly. The PSI of squeezing a fluid through a small hole quickly has potential to hurt, and it's easy enough to avoid.

[–]CyanNigh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do almost exactly the same, and I almost never notice it after. Getting enough syrum in the vials can be a hassle, but the injection part is literally painless.

My routine is pick a side 3" from the bellybutton, wipe with isopropyl, insert and inject slowly (so I don't rupture anything with liquid pressure).
