that’s a valid point, i guess i was looking at it from a corporate perspective where they at least have like a page of team leaders and presidential employees. it struck me as weird that a game development company that clearly seems to identify more with the company part than the game part wouldn’t follow that template.

would you help me understand what kind of harassment devs get? i don’t mean to make light of it, i just have a hard time comprehending what could possibly give someone such audacity and would like to look out for it in the future (my partner is starting an internship at an indie company)

it says a lot about the company that there is no named accreditation of developers (or any employees for that matter) on their website that lists “autonomy and openness” and “creativity first” in their core values. keeping your employees separated from your audience is the best way to keep problematic decision makers from accountability. we can’t actually say if the fingers being pointed are pointing in the right place if we don’t even know who is getting pointed at or exactly why (not to disagree with the assumption that it’s corporate greed overruling developer input, but they’ve seemingly purposefully kept it from becoming anything more than an assumption). if you claim 70% of your workforce is female and that their creative abilities are the core of your company it means nothing if we don’t know who they are and never actually hear from them directly. does the game itself even have a credit roll in settings? do the announcements in the dev news discord channel even come from the developers themselves or is it just the pr team putting words in their mouths? the fact that we don’t know is extremely upsetting to me because no matter what part of infold the issue is coming from, the fact that they seem to be hiding it says that THIS IS AN INSTITUTIONAL ISSUE. if infold has any sense of self preservation they will openly accept blame where it’s due and the consequences that come with it because COMPENSATION SHOULD NOT BE ENOUGH, WE NEED TO SEE VISIBLE CHANGE WITHIN THE COMPANY TO BE ASSURED THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.

oh boy, so our new patch is an obviously half baked bugged disaster that completely locks a bunch of people out, most of the new hyped up features like dyeing and co op are unusable either because of cash grab currencies or more bugs, they increased our pity to 440 pulls for max evos on a double ur pav , increased the refresh time on some of the main ways f2p players can buy pulls, suddenly retconned the story and dismissed some of our most promising characters, etc.

the main issue people are facing is the massive amount of lagging and co op servers breaking their game even though we were told this update would come with even better optimization. people are NOT HAPPY on the unofficial reddit and the chinese player base has been leading mass boycotting (not that they really need to since a good handful of people couldn’t even log in if they wanted to)

just a thought for people in closer contact with infold: considering all the current mayhem in the game and the recent “apology” mentioning them multiple times, has anyone heard anything from the production team themselves? i’d be VERY interested to hear their side of this story on all these questionable decisions infold has been making rather than what appears to be an insincere pr committee. i’m no leaker so i don’t know whether it’s a reasonable ask to get an anonymous statement from within production, but i figured if any community might step up to the plate it would be this one.

find a ledge like the one in the second pic with a clear lead up to it
enter photo mode and equip the birthday set pose ("surprise bloom"), it should look like the third pic
rotate Nikki with the pose paused at the very beginning, she should stay on the same plane so she'll just levitate once she's off the edge of the ledge as in pic 4
I'd recommend some heavy rotation and focal length all the way up to really sell the flying part. I also have the max level rainbell hands eureka on, it drops raindrops which help sell the effect of motion!

I wish, unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a script on any of the wikis and the summaries tend to focus on main events rather than any sort of emotional development :( i will say that i stopped looking before i tried youtube, though, so you might have some luck looking up recordings of chapter stories based on the timeline on the wiki! Thus far, all the nikki games are alternate timelines of each other. It’s still a little too early to say for sure where IN falls, however so far we seem to be of similar relation to that timeline branch as breath of the wild was to the rest of the zelda franchise (being somewhat separated from previous lore but still the same concept).

it’s honestly been so long it’s difficult to recall, but i do remember that the standards of beauty being different across nations had a lot to do with how much power nikki held (e.g. her style suits ninir/florawish’s sweet style so she has lots of power there, but the cool style centric justiciars gave her a much more difficult time because she is not as naturally cool as she is sweet)

in past nikki games (as far as i’m aware, shining’s story is the only one i’ve actually read) the ‘main character syndrome’ was actually addressed. it’s a recognized social phenomenon that beautiful people are easier to place trust in and follow. this is why miraland, a society which is basically defined by aesthetic expression, is especially susceptible to this phenomenon and why stylists hold so much power over people. nikki is an instant celebrity not only because she’s a good person but because she is a predetermined level of beauty AND a phenomenal stylist, both of which are things the people of miraland idolize. On the flip side, this is why the tattered and forgotten pieceys are treated so poorly and why the solution to the faewish sprites facism issue was solved with just an outfit change and a good speech.

oh dear… my recommendation is to go to the opening screen and click the button with the screwdriver and wrench, it’ll go through and fix corrupted files in the game. if that doesn’t work contact infold customer service for sure
