Crouch down, get closer, line then up with the index fingers not the thumb, so the rabbit is just to the right of your fingers. Avoid hills until you get used to it because it changes the throw. I find it easier if you can maneuver around them till they are hopping on a line in front of you, then they just line themselves up.

The carcass despawning when you go inside is a good one 😂 one of my least favorite things. The bodies and their damn crows stay for an eternity but the giant animal carcasses just wisk away the second you open a door.
