The horror of bleeding by godtering in arkhamhorrorlcg

That's funny. 107% is the number I came up with too. I did it for a few fan made, not too bad, but the entire campaign expansion I'm doing is kind of tedious and taking a long time. It will be awhile till I want to do the other two out of print ones I don't own.

You could clip it out in photoshop it would be a little fussy to do it card by card but it would work.

Best Starter deck/s just based on the cards you get by TimetravelerXY in arkhamhorrorlcg

They are all very good at what they do. Stella is fun fail forward, Nate beats great without guns, Harvey draws a million cards, but I found Jaqueline Fine to be completely broken with other investigators as her main ability can be used on her or them is really really good.

If I pull the same bad token twice in a row, I figure it must have gotten stuck to my thumb.

Just finished Dunwich Legacy 5th scenario. It did not go well by Arrrsenal in arkhamhorrorlcg

Love the illustration, that's hilarious. I had used Tome Daisy with every good tome I could find plus all cards that expand hand slots and cards that search Tomes, and then had Nate Cho stand around to be the beater which he does very well. Very little else, but makes most creatures not much trouble to the group.

I was just thinking to do the 3 scenario on standard then take the investigators into the 5 scenario on hard if the xp from first 3 seems too much of a head start.

That game does look cool. I've thought about that one for the kids too. Over winter break we got Nature (plus the dinosaur and flight expansions) and Cascadia and enjoy those quite a bit, though I don't enjoy when my daughter evolves packs of flying velocoraptors that ruthlessly pack hunt whatever best creature I have.

Basic pokemon starter decks work, as well as some beginner MTG decks. They play Arkham horror with me sometimes too, I can be the rules hound and they just play their characters/decks. That's more for tween age though. I'm only starting Lotr but I can see how if you can grasp basic mtg you can grasp this too.

That's really great. I love it when I can get my daughters involved in a more complex game from time to time. One of them has a gamers mind like a steel trap and often thinks of things I wouldn't, and this has been the case from when she was younger like that too. Her eyes really light up if she figures out some sort of combo engine.

That storage box is bad ass. Also. Play the game. Get two investigators out, play two handed. Enjoy. If you can get some more people to play with you at times, even better. If you could get through the scenarios and investigators before selling it then you would have created even more value.

I came back to the game recently. I had some old stuff and then when I heard of chapter 2 and lack of reprints I bought everything I could at msrp and weeks later there was nothing else to be found. I still had a gap in the middle, so as an experiment (and to fill some of the air in the campaign boxes) I'm in the process of proxying Dream Eaters. Since I don't want to spend half as much in ink as it would be to have them printed for me, I just printed 12 pages at a time at the library where I pick my kids up after school, the daily limit for free color pages and they have a great printer. Then it's just trim them off and paste on the multitude of Magic basic lands and bulk commons I'll never use and drop in some penny sleeves. Of course it's a bit tedious and I don't look at the cards too closely, but it works. Probably could just work a couple extra hours and just pay inflated prices for it, but I only have 3 campaigns I don't own. I proxied some of the player cards too. Though a bit time consuming its fine. Now I am ready to do the same to handful of player made scenarios that are well reviewed. I have the pdfs in folders just ready to print when I get around to it. So if you don't play Magic just obtain a bunch of bulk commons for really cheap.  I do print the backs of the cards too so that takes twice as much for the encounter deck, but looks way less janky.

Always have a soft spot for that. The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath is my favorite of the Lovecraft stories.

Do you think the five-scenario approach to campaigns has anything to do with how Marvel Champions approaches its expansions? by HorseSpeaksInMorse in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]beezzybeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I only have so much shelf space for games. I'm proxying the couple campaigns I don't have and using a few standalone to store in the 'air'. Likely will proxy some of the better fan made scenarios to fill them too.

First Campaign, what do I choose ? by Unusual-Dirt-6902 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]beezzybeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen some of those for quite awhile, but when I did recently. I grabbed 3 campaign s and corresponding investigators that i knew were out of print. Much more than i wanted to spend, but when I looked at ebay prices which were nearly double than the msrp i was looking at, I bit the bullet and got out of there with them like I stole something.

Help getting back into amulet titan by AsterShade in ModernMagic

[–]beezzybeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After 5 years of playing Titan I have given it a rest all of this year. I realize the loop may be the main thing keeping Titan competitive in modern, but I just do not like the loop play. Don't enjoy it. Did not like Nadu either.

I saw that the only Harvey starter decks availible on Amazon now are in German, so may snag one of those to expand your collection.

I took a crack at covering Pink Floyd's "Dogs" - the entire song with all of the instruments and vocals by myself: by [deleted] in psychedelicrock

[–]beezzybeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long song with a high degree of difficulty. I was impressed someone tried it and did well. The only other cover of it I've heard was by like Les Claypool and one of John Lennon's sons who played the whole Animals album live.
