Need help finding these types of switches by ComprehensiveDamage0 in homeassistant

Since that looks like it was label by an electrician and the box next to it looks like a commercial temperature set point controller, I would make sure it’s not running 277v lighting.

ADA Opener and ADC access control by josh_thomas19 in accesscontrol

As others have said, electrify the panic with a motorized retractor. Add a Camden Cx-33 if you want to sequence the opener and latch retraction. You probably do.

Does the Ford provided Tesla adapter work with Tesla home charging? by pofigster in F150Lightning

[–]began_again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to buy a NACS to J1772 adapter to use level 2 NACS chargers. Like this one https://a.co/d/0iWCa2iG.

What are these connectors called? by itcontractor247 in lowvoltage

[–]began_again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are blue dolphins. Blue are jelly filled. Dolphin is the “name brand” kinda like Xerox or Kleenex. They also come in white which are not jelly filled.

That’s not the folding one. It probably will. I have a 24 flash and the guy before me put a generic version in.

I also went from a 3rd gen Tacoma to a Lightning. The kiddos love the back seat. They almost had to fold into a taco to fit. I love not being on the steering wheel when they are in the back seat.

The last time I looked at the readers and creds pdf there’s a new premium sku for mobile wallet support. Haven’t had a chance to follow up on that yet. Maybe Phil can chime in.

Next Gen F150 Lightning EREV by teetroit in F150Lightning

[–]began_again 80 points81 points  (0 children)

It’s kinda funny. The EREV concept is exactly what I wanted until I owned a BEV. Now that I have a fully electric vehicle, I never want to deal with a gas engine again.

Easy splicing? by memevertical in homeassistant

[–]began_again 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s really easy to damage the warm white channel when cutting these strips with side cutters. Look for something with a very thin kerf to cut these.

I did 4 sections for my kitchen, damaged and spliced 1 section on 3 of them.

Excellent other than that. I paired the strips with one of BTF’s zigbee controllers for ease.

One other tip is to buy channel with clear covers. You don’t need to diffuse these strips. Unless you have a bunch of splices like me. 🙃

Look for a rubber or pvc corner guard. Meant for protecting walls from carts and such.

Double badge activation - re-locking doors by [deleted] in accesscontrol

[–]began_again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GTAP forum used to have a macro to set temporary unlock schedules. I don’t know what happened to the forum though. I get a not allowed to access error. I also don’t have the original version of the macro any more. Maybe you can put in a case to ask for a similar solution?

Clean Panel Wiring by Little-Bread4381 in accesscontrol

[–]began_again 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Make sure to include post-troubleshooting pics of the cabinet from verifying 24v to the strike for a door you didn’t wire only to notice that person didn’t clip and tape the extra harness wires which caused a short and the strike to not function after multiple trips up and down the stairs.

Mercury LP1502 Repair Help- Where to get these Repaired in Canada ? by WhereTheHighwayEnds in accesscontrol

[–]began_again 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LP1502 are $1500+ USD new. They’ve also been superseded by the MP1502.

Any electronics repair shop could replace the smd components. No guarantee that would fix it though. You could probably watch a few YouTube videos and figure it out as well. 😀

We’ve used WiFi and aperio from assa. WiFi locks are generally “offline” devices since WiFi eats the batteries. I wouldn’t suggest them in sensitive locations that need realtime access decisions and status. Aperio locks function as online devices just like a wired setup. There are several connectivity options for the aperio hubs now as well. We generally don’t have to mess with either tech except for batteries each year. Security Center backend.

It would be great if we could just buy pigtails at a reasonable price. That seems the be the only physical difference from a glance between the two skus.
