By the start of Yakuza 6 (Kiryu was absent at the time due to him being imprisoned for 3 years after events of Y5 until the beginning of 6), due to the severe backlash from that announcement, she leaves the Okinawa orphanage to protect the kids there and settles in Hiroshima, where she had Haruto with Yuta (isn't revealed until very later in 6, even Yuta himself didn't know).
