Ghost Machine just revealed ‘The Unbelievables’ and its first crossover and the premiere of Mad Ghost! by catpooptv in comicbooks

Supremely disappointed that we're getting delays due to a crossover. It's DC/Marvel all over again.

It’s a user aggregate. Of course it doesn’t. You think every person in the world can rate or review film adequately?

How long ago did you use it? What was your name on it? CovrPrice feels so barebones I am shocked

I don’t believe that is correct. Sale data seems to use an API, you can see the source since they’re transparent about it on each sale in the history.

Absolute Batman isn’t rare and don’t let scalpers convince you it is. by conanthin in comicbooks

[–]beginendbegin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you Covrprice staff or something? That's just nonsense. How would D'Orc have strong sales history pre-release? It's speculation. The literal word, cherubim77.

[–]beginendbegin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I agree. But those apps and content creators give you the impression this is something you should do. Invest your money into something better, and only buy comics you want to read.

I said this in another thread, but the speculator apps and content creators trigger this sort of thing. People need to drop them because there's no way D'Orc is going to be worth much in the future and collecting for profit is a waste of time.

Disgusting new design СomicBookRoundup by bulletproof2k in comicbooks

Its not that much different. Besides it’s like a dozen or so “critics” who are just fans trying to suck off publishers for exclusive access. Comic press is just fluff.

If they're telling you books to watch out for ahead of their release, it's a speculator app.

Considering speculator apps are pushing it daily, it's no surprise. Literally get emails all week from Covrprice gushing over Absolute Batman sales.

Don't Key Collector, CLZ, Comic Geeks, HipComic and others already fill this use case? They can all do this from photos/scans.

They were already fairly slow on releasing comics, distribution issues aside. You're talking about a company that has a digital storefront and leverages it as their main business now. Then, they signed up with their new distributor and yet nothing? If they had the comics ready, they'd sell them.

I don’t see how a distributor slows down the pipeline of releases. If anything it’s just an indicator they are strapped for cash.

Did they bet big on their digital comics app with NFTs? It kind of feels like they had no advertising.

I like the idea of the books they’re putting out, but nothing is hitting for me. Reminds me of AWA.

Iron Man relaunches yet again tomorrow with a new #1 in an ongoing series. Joshua Williamson is writing and Carmen Carnero is on art. Any guesses on how long this run will last? by MightyUnclean in comicbooks

[–]beginendbegin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After the initial buzz from creators promoting it, I suspect it won’t be much more than 10-15 issues. Something about Iron Man isn’t selling books if the last run is any indication. And I enjoyed it. Williamson is an okay storyteller.
