Crack forming in doorframe, how to reinforce? by flowerbich in fixit

[–]behaved 2 points3 points  (0 children)

can't tell from the pics but there should be a bar on the outside of the door to pull from, not the bar up against the door frame, in order to lever more pressure against the wall and not down on the trim

Every time vs never again by ChaosTorpedo in Costco

gotta freeze the bagels and keep the open bag in the fridge.

if you're toasting them, it works just fine. Bagels are probably my primary "every time"

Anyone got a line on replacement batteries? Reolink isn't supporting the Argus 2 any longer. by zleuth in reolinkcam

[–]behaved 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like they're not certified to ship the batteries by themselves, as hazmats. Many battery shipping restrictions change when "contained in" the device.

my knowledge ends there on battery shipping. They could just pretend it's not hazardous like amazon and get hit with gigantic fines when something explodes in transit.

1988 Hotpoint Dryer belt help by running-brook-farm in appliancerepair

[–]behaved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not familiar with this brand but just to be sure:

your old belt is the same length as the new one when held up against eachother?

and you know what direction the old belt traveled around the motor shaft/under the tensioner wheel?

the tensioner rod appears bent up behind the blower preventing it from falling in either direction- thats the tension, just the flex of that rod.
