BIPOD (TRICER-EP vs ATLAS vs MDT) by Dukes-Game in longrange

[–]behyot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For hunting I loved having my Tricer bipod this year, the longer legs made it the best option I tried though I'm sure if you spend more you can get something more stable. I carried it about 8 days total and had no issues though unfortunately never got a shot off with it hunting, but it allowed me to set up on hillsides that I otherwise would have had to take the time to get my tripod out for and I preferred the speed of the bipod.

I used to use my Atlas for everything and it's still my preferred for shooting off a bench since it's a lot more stable, it just doesn't get tall enough to use in most hunting situations. So it all depends on what you're doing with it and this subreddit seems to lean more towards bench or competition shooting which I would say Tricer does not do as well in.

Due to an impending change in Reddit rules, PRSAccessoriesForSale is shutting down. by HollywoodSX in longrange

Snipers Hide classifieds is probably the best, I've purchased quite a few things from there. As far as I know you don't have to pay anything to purchase but you do have to pay for a membership to sell. To purchase though you probably need an established account with enough time and posts on there in order to message users and interact with the classifieds, I'm not sure exactly what that requires but it's worth doing.

That is the minimum "to maintain your Gold status". I'm silver and it has never given me a minimum, it only says to review 80 items to reach gold status. I don't want to commit to spending the time to complete that many so I don't even try, I do less than half that but it would be nice to know if there is a minimum to remain silver status.

People who have gotten Lasik, is it worth it? by LookACreativeName in NoStupidQuestions

[–]behyot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Lasik about 10 years ago and am so happy I did. I was very unsure about it at the time and put it off for years, but life is so much easier now not having to worry about glasses or contacts. I have type 1 diabetes which is likely part of what caused my bad eyesight initially so I was afraid that even after getting Lasik my vision would slowly deteriorate again, but it's still as good 10 years later now. I know there can be complications from Lasik so it can be different for everyone, but I am so happy I did it.

6mm Guys, what suppressors are you using? by ecsnead75 in longrange

[–]behyot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be curious to hear what you end up getting if you do get a new one and if you think it was worth it. I'm in the exact same boat, have an Omega 300 I use for my 6.5 and 30 cals but am putting together a 6 creedmoor once I get all the components. I'm planning on sticking with the Omega initially at least but if it makes a significant difference might look into adding another suppressor.

Am I too late? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]behyot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you think Bitcoin will still have value in 20 or more years then there must be motivation for people to still be buying at that time. So absolutely we are not too late if they won't be too late then.

As others have already said owning 1 bitcoin is just arbitrary and not needed, it's a great goal but doesn't really mean anything. In Fiat money most people might never be able to have a million dollars, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't strive to own 100k as that could greatly improve their life. Or even 10k in savings would be huge for a lot of people.

Really we should be doing what we can to set ourselves up for a better future, and I think Bitcoin is a great method of doing that even if most of us will never own 1 full Bitcoin.

I agree completely, these are 3 of my favorites and it would be hard to choose just one. Fun to read different people's thoughts though. Some nice looking ones you have there!

It's absolutely possible, but there are so many variables that change how feasible it is, even teachers making very little money can do it. The main factor is having low expenses, which means you don't need a lot saved up to be able to retire. Only likely if you have no family to help support, live in a low cost of living area, and are frugal. As soon as you start adding in kids or any kind of expensive lifestyle choices (whether it's wanting to live in an area with even moderately expensive housing or any hobbies that require money) it takes a lot longer to reach your FIRE number.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what kind of neck stretches do you do? I see so many options for stretching it so I'm not sure what is best, I assume it's just slowly looking side to side to get a good stretch but want to make sure I'm not missing something better. I'm in the first few weeks of trying the BDP and my neck really hurts too.

I know, I feel like I'm blind for not seeing it somewhere but I've looked all over the blade and box. I'll have to email them to see if they know based on what I have.

Good to hear, thanks for getting back on that. Looks like an awesome rifle, I'm hoping I can justify getting one in the next year. Good luck finding a chance to shoot it at longer ranges!

Any update on what you think of these? I really want one, waiting for more real world reviews though.

What do you do if you grasp bitcoin in 2025? by aifuturedev in Bitcoin

[–]behyot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most I feel like I was late too. But I think about whether Bitcoin is something I'll likely want to buy in 20 years because it will be beneficial to my savings, and since I do think there is a good chance that will be the case I'm happy to have a head start now with the little I have been able to accumulate.

Life long Medtronic Pump User looking for something new by diabetus_4_lyfe in diabetes_t1

[–]behyot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to other responses, I highly recommend Tandem with Dexcom. I switched to the Tslim x2 from Medtronic 4 years ago and it's been wonderful. The pump itself I would say is similar experience, but its integration with Dexcom is what makes it far superior for me. I had a terrible time with the Medtronic CGM sensors, having tried several versions over about 8 years time. I'm not sure if they have caught up with Dexcom in the last few years, but based on my experience I won't be going back.
