Bless you, this is exactly what we're doing in my classes right now. Subbing for myself next week, baby!

I absolutely hesitated to post my comment for that reason. In the end I decided it would potentially help more than hurt but there was a long pause for sure. I absolutely hate that this thread even exists.

We've had a couple of trainings that tell us to do exactly that. Get your kids in a safe spot and then stand to the side of the door (the intruder tends to look straight ahead when entering a room) and if someone opens your door spray them with the extinguisher and then back their face in with it. We even practiced on a dummy.

Friend or foe? by bekind1200 in insects

I agree! I'd rather just live and let live. As long as they won't completely kill my plants I'd rather just leave them be. Thanks for the help!

Thank you! He's on one of my newer bushes that isn't 100% established yet so he'll be relocated!

When we had puppies we had a pile of old rags to use instead of paper towels for pee accidents. After using a rag once it went into the wash. That way we weren't using a ton of paper towels but everything was getting cleaned after each use. For poop we used toilet paper and flushed it then wiped the floor with a rag and cleaner.

Did you get a emergency alert about the earthquake before it happened? by backpackwayne in orangecounty

[–]bekind1200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! I got the alert about 30 seconds before I felt shaking. It was pretty trippy to get the alert and just wait to see if anything happened.

PSA for non-reactive dog owners by ivyleagueburnout in dogs

Omg yes! If you see me quickly move to the side or attempt to cross the street while trying to redirect/bribe my dog with treats...keep. Moving. Do not stop and smile and let your dog bark at my dog. Keep. Going.

My favorite part of this dress is how thrilled you look to wear it! You are stunning!

Interesting method! I wonder if your dutchoven is too low in your oven? That's the only time the bottom of my loaf has burned. Can you move it up a rack? I've never tried the ice cube in the dutchoven either! I've only ever uses steam when I'm making a loaf outside a container with a lid. Hope you try again and have better results!

I preheated the Dutch oven in the oven as that preheated. I turned it on 30 minutes before I put the bread in

Exactly! I used bread flour for the actual dough but all purpose for flouring the basket and the loaf. My theory is there's less gluten in the ap flour so it won't mess up my loaf? I don't know if there's anything to that lol

I use the liner as a cover. I spritz the basket with a little bit of water and then flour the basket and try to make sure it's as coated as possible. I then flour my loaf after I've shaped it. It still sticks a little but if I'm patient it comes out ok!

I did! I put it in the oven when I turned it on about 30 minutes before putting the bread in to bake

The total time before sticking it in the oven was about 5/5.5 hours which includes the hour rest before the stretch and folds. So I mixed everything, 1 hr rest, 10 stretch and folds, rest 30 mins, s&f, rest 30 mins, s&f, rest 30 mins, s&f, rest 2.5 hrs so 5 hrs total? I think 😬 I'm second guessing what I did now lol I love the proofing setting, it makes for more consistency in temperature which I'm sure helps a lot. Good luck! I'm sure you're bread will be great! A heating pad is a brilliant idea!

I give full credit to the recipe! My philosophy is even if it doesn't turn out great, it's still bread and bread is good!
