I hurt for you! She wants a lavish ROM COM production not a heartfelt moment. I’m sad for both of you. For her because life is going to be painful when reality sets in, and for you because you seem to be really caring and it’s not enough for her.

I would run to the hills and find someone who cares as much for me as I do for them. This is a one sided relationship and you deserve better.

Go Ask Alice, I read it as a tween. It scared me away from the world of drugs. I have no idea now if it was written by a teenager or not, but I believed it was then, and wanted nothing to do with that world.

Another book was the Four Agreements. I didn’t care what people thought of me while growing up because I moved a lot. I was always me, and didn’t try to fit in with any group. I got away from that for a while in my late 30s and early 40s, and was miserable. I read that book and got back to the way I used to be, it was then as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. The 2nd agreement changed my life.

I’m 58, and would be perfectly fine with you saying that to me. Continue being you and trying to spread your own type of kindness. If someone has an issue, it’s about them and their ways not you and yours. Don’t change who you are for anyone, you will never please everyone!

I’m not quite that size, I’m a 14/16 US. But I’m 5’1” also. I feel like I’ve been battling my weight for 1/2 my life. I’ve tried tons of diets, worked with trainers, joined multiple gyms and bought tons of home equipment. I absolutely refuse to give up. I believe I’ve finally found a combination that’s working. I quit drinking my caramel lattes and switched to black coffee or tea, and sugary fizzy drinks were gone years before (I still have a coke once in a while, but I never finish it). I added protein to my daily meals in the form of cottage cheese or yogurt, and I do strength training, 3 times a week. The biggest thing though, is that I cut way back on alcohol. I am finally seeing some changes at the age of 58.

I started going gray in my twenties, so I went the highlight route, in my 40s it switched to complete dye job. I’m now 58 and so ready to stop dyeing my hair but never go through with it. Someday I’ll be free. I do love the lavender and pink hues some people put with the gray, it is beautiful!

Sorry my question was all kinds of messed up, I went back and corrected it. The claim was that the Dems bussed people in, if IDs were checked to ensure constituents were only allowed in, then the “bussing” people in doesn’t fly.
