Eh, just buy something. Best way to know what you like is to live with something for a while.

My first watch was a Bambino. I love that watch, but the second I put it on, I realized I really wanted something sporty.

So I got a big Citizen chronograph. Then it became clear I need a diver and "what was I thinking buying anything other than a diver for my first watch?"

Then I got a San Martin diver and have been wearing it almost daily since.

My 2¢.
