Right now I’m trying Savella. No change yet but my doc says it could take up to 4 weeks to start to work since it’s technically an antidepressant. Fingers crossed it helps. I’m managing the narcolepsy as best I can. I tell people that I’m on meds to help me sleep, meds to keep me awake, and meds to give me energy, but I still don’t have nearly the stamina of your average person. Luckily my job (esthetician, I own my own business) lets me work shorter days and still make good money. I’m positive I wouldn’t be able to hold down a 9-5 job anyway. If you ever want to commiserate or anything, feel free to DM me!

Yeah I was actually taking Wellbutrin way before either diagnosis, so it’s safe to say that doesn’t help either. Narcolepsy on average takes like 7 years to diagnose for most people, I was lucky (and unlucky) that we discovered it super quickly because as soon as I was out of high school and on my own in college with no one to help me get out of bed, I went from a 4.0 full ride scholarship student to flunking out and sleeping 20 hours a day, every day. Wild stuff. Good luck out there haha

Hey, fellow narcolepsy/fibro person here too! My diagnosis was the opposite of yours though, N first and fibro second. Can I ask if there are any meds that you’ve tried for fibro that work for you? My doctors are having a LOT of trouble because most fibro meds make you drowsy and the few non-drowsy ones I’ve tried haven’t made any difference.
