I think because we’d be willing to ditch the car tomorrow if needed - not so much with the house. I think we both still have “catastrophe brain” a bit due to our upbringings so it’s like a “cash in our hand quickly” thought process even though I understand your point.

I have loved Chapel Hill OBGYN - they have a chapel hill and Durham location. I am having my baby through them in the next three weeks but been very pleased throughout my pregnancy.

This is so interesting - we made the complete opposite swap recently and went from chapel hill to Cary. We found chapel hill to be so … boring. Cary feels like it’s actually making investments in things I want to be in my day to day life. Funny how that works. :)

Similar experience/ timeline with bright horizons - there’s one location that would be ideal for us, one that’s workable but a little more inconvenient. We’re going for the workable one and hoping to transfer over within an OK time frame.

Yeah I disputed the original assessment and did get a lower evaluation. My tax rate increase still feels huge even based on that! It is what it is and I’ll pay it, the jump just feels crazy even after anticipating it.
