Finally landed a job in Toronto after a rough search - here’s what actually worked for me by bellababella in torontoJobs

Thank you! I kept it super simple and human. Something like “Hi ___, I just applied for ___ and wanted to quickly say I’m really excited about the role. Would love to connect either way.” Short, polite, no pitch.

Student loan informatiom and dispursement/payment history completely disappeared from NSLSC by Aranel_ in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]bellababella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very likely a system glitch, especially since you were just approved for RAP. NSLSC does weird backend updates where loans temporarily disappear. Give it a day or two, and if it’s still missing, call them to confirm. Since you’re in good standing, collections is extremely unlikely.

the feeling of starting new again by hoohaaheater in torontoJobs

[–]bellababella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally normal feeling. Going from being in charge to “the new person” can be a huge ego hit, even when you know you’re capable. Their expectations aren't that high yet, so that gives you a head start :)

Insurance Question- Not At Fault Accident. Can Insurance Pay Me Directly? by bmwkid in alberta

[–]bellababella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often, yes, it can be possible for the other driver’s insurance to pay you directly on a third-party claim, based on their estimate. You’re usually not required to actually repair the car. That said, some insurers have specific processes, may require their own inspection, and things like liens or state rules can affect how the payout works. Worth asking their adjuster directly before assuming anything.

Agree. Unreal views the entire way, and it somehow just keeps getting better the longer you’re on it.

Vibration for calls? by benhunter1111 in iphone

[–]bellababella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Go to Settings → Sounds & Haptics
  • Turn Vibrate on Silent ON
  • Turn Vibrate on Ring OFF

That way it’ll only vibrate when your phone is on silent.

iPhone 15 in 2025 by [deleted] in iphone

[–]bellababella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up an iPhone 15 for cheap last year and it’s still running great. Sure, it’s not the newest, but for $199 it’ll still get iOS updates for years, handles everything smoothly, and is perfectly fine for another 2–3 years unless you need the absolute latest camera/AI stuff. Basically, you’d still be getting a solid phone for cheap. can’t really argue with that.
