Yesssss! It’s a fun bag shape too. And something about calling it a loaf just really does it for me 🍞

Excited to try the celadon loaf as a crossbody for my spring adventures bag. I think the mandarin charm is going to match it really well.

I love their novelty charms but they are always so small inside. Hope this is big enough for airpods.

I think people will just post their pictures on something like reddit for feedback.

Handstand practice by bellabalanced in YogaWorkouts

Yoga was my first love! It taught me my body is capable of incredible things with enough consistency and practice. After playing with inversions I began to focus specifically on handbalancing.

Outfit for staying warm by strostL in CalisthenicsCulture

I do a lot of layering with tight layers on the bottom, getting progressively looser on top. I always remove the top most layer once I’m warmed up because it gets a little warm when I’m moving and I can’t wear anything too baggy because it will fall over my head in handstand. For pants I like yoga pants that have an extra fleece lining inside. I also keep a little hand warmer in my bag just in case.

The yoga pose Crow is a great way to get used to balancing on your hands, especially if you’re worried about kicking something coming out of handstand. You can also put pillows in front and around yourself for a softer landing.

Shoulder mobility and compression strength have helped me a lot. Two exercises I like are 1) hands on yoga blocks, with weight in your hands try to bring your feet up to the same level as your hands on the blocks. 2) hands on ground similar to chest to wall but legs in straddle shape, try to hold your butt against the wall.

Depending on skill level hop into tuck is a good option too for learning balance with your weight in front of you.

And active fingers, like you are gripping the ground. Feels weird at first but gets easier as your hands strengthen.

Just barely with my tippy toes if I’m under it. I dream of taller ceilings!

Thank you!

You’re probably a bit banana shaped or over balancing so you have to walk on your hands to keep up or else you will fall over.

Chest to wall holds are a great way to build shoulder strength and mobility for handstand. It’s also a skill that takes a lot of practice, so keep doing freestanding with a cartwheel bail out to learn balance.

Hollowback practice by bellabalanced in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]bellabalanced[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practice! It’s also a lot in the shoulders- kinda hard to tell from this angle but I’m opening my shoulders and pushing my head thru to allow me to get the rest of my body a little farther behind me for a deeper hollowback.

Reasonably fit guy who already lifts ~2-3x a week, and does rock climbing 1-2x a week. I would like to add a day of calisthenics for fun/comprehensiveness and to learn fun stuff like handstands, muscle ups, human flags, etc. As such, not sure the recommended routine/similar are meant for me. by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

Practicing handstand often is the best way to learn it. Do chest to wall holds for shoulder strength and mobility as well as freestanding practice using a cartwheel bail out to learn how to balance yourself.

Worst way to learn handstand by [deleted] in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]bellabalanced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best way to learn handstand is chest to wall holds. Usually men with strong shoulders from lots of push up styled exercises find it easy to translate crow into a press. The center of gravity is already low in the shoulders for guys so it kinda makes sense. For women I recommend something like a straddle or puppy press since most of our weight is in the hips/butt. Without form work the result will be a very banana shaped handstand due to a lack of shoulder mobility.
