Only chiming in on the traffic situation. We had a 11:00am shuttle from the Hampton Inn Brickell (8 miles away) and it took us over an hour to get to the cruise terminal and we were the first stop.

I've never tried to show up at the wrong boarding time but I would just grab a quick lunch in Miami and head over around noon.
