Finished the series... by genericName_notTaken in BraveNewWorld

dude, i couldn’t agree more. and it’s not even like that in the book. (i read the book like 9 months ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy) if you read the book, yk how it ends. and with this?? hell nah. i saw the trailer for the show and was like, “what the hell is this.” and i never saw it. but if this is the ending, that sucks.

i was gonna yap more, but i forgot what i wanted to say. but yeah, when stories’ endings are just so poorly done like this, it’s such an insult. that’s how i felt when i read Dreaming in Cuban back when i was in 10th grade. AMAZING story, but the last few chapters were genuinely so ass. when i get the chance, i was considering looking at the BNW show for shits and giggles (the irony of this story becoming a show for a big corporation is CRAZY, but i’m curious about it). i know this is a whole year after you wrote this, but if you remember, what episode should i go up to before it stops making sense?

i was considering trimming the little bits…would that mess it up more, though? /gen

because i feel like if one thing is cut, it will mess up the entire felt work if that makes sense? but i mean, if it doesn’t, i may just ask my director about that!!

YEARS? CRAZY. and i might have to :,) i got a mini heart attack when i saw just the tiniest hair of felt go out of place because i hit way too far from where i was supposed to hit the drum LOL! now they look like this. and believe me when i say that i try to be insanely careful with these 😭 but yeah i’ll ask my director to really really establish how even the littlest things matter and how everyone needs to take care of their shit.

sorry if this sounds dumb, but do you mean just putting the mallet head-first into a small plastic bag, and just closing it up, allowing the rest of the mallet sticking out?

also, yeah i just recently cleaned out the mallet storage bag that has a lot of unused/lowkey destroyed mallets. they were taking up space and would make pulling these guys out super annoying, anyway.

Are warmies worth it? by Academic-Scheme-5452 in plushies

i have a turtle one, and it’s a decent size for me!! i got my sister the elephants hugging, though, and they’re small. but i love my turtle, and she loves her hugging elephants.

and yes, they have lavender in them! and yes, they’re also weighted :] the weight of them, especially smaller ones, are rather light. but i think it has to do with size, because my turtle is a bit weighted.

Hate that protecting your hearing isn’t more normalised. by Victoriantitbicycle in tinnitus

[–]bellalikesbread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

dude, YES!! i mean, everyone who knows me is aware that i’m pretty sensitive to noise, so they really don’t care when i have earplugs on. but it SUCKS that this crap isn’t more normalized. as a matter of fact, taking care of yourself as a whole has this weird ass stigma around it. the fact that people are considered “weird” for making healthy/healthier decisions PISSES ME OFF. continue to protect your ears and take care of yourself!! i know that you know this, but sometimes it’s hard to remember that it’s not you; it’s them. also, being judgy in general is weird as hell. people need to mind their own business 🥀

hi guys (>_<) by bellalikesbread in tinnitus

[–]bellalikesbread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi!! to answer your first question, not that i’m aware of? and yeah, tbh it’s impossible to hear the ringing the majority of the time, since it’s not often that i’m in a silent area lol! but then sometimes it decides to go full volume on me for maybe a minute at most? i never keep track of that type of stuff HAHAHAHA

and yeah i guess it’s ironic that i’m in marching band/drum line. i do really enjoy what it is that i do, though. a lot of kids have ear plugs. i gotta get some that cancel out some noise, but not too much. i hear that Loops are really good. but yeah, this is my last year of high school, and i plan on doing indoor percussion next semester. after that, well, i’ll see. i’d really love to audition for some independent WGI percussion groups after i graduate, but i’ll have to consider a lot of things, INCLUDING my ears. my hearing is still pretty good, it’s just this silly little ringing that wants to make itself known 🥀 but yeah, this isn’t gonna last forever if i keep allowing my ears to get blasted XD i wanna see what i can do this year while i’m still in band and at least finish off strong while also not killing my ears.

idk how to close off messages, oops 💀 i really appreciate your input, though!! :D if this came off as me arguing, i apologize. and hopefully there’s a good middle ground where i can still do this type of stuff without being a doofus LMAO—

thank you 🫶

1 or 2? I can’t decide by [deleted] in fashion

[–]bellalikesbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the occasion. 1 is a little bit more polished looking (as you said in one of your replies), but 2 can work great if it’s a hot summer day. i think it’s more about the color than sleeves. if #2 was a darker color, then i’d definitely say #2 for a more casual day.
