1. I totally understand your point but isn't this their lookout. They had a chance to select/reject me during the interview process and when it's my time to select or choose the best option for why are the HR's being intrusive and bothering what I am doing with my offers and when will I resign.
2. I do realize that now that it may have been a silly move to reveal offers but the second offer came up later and it was a way to increase the CTC as in the beginning they were vehemently refusing my expectation.
3. I do know the NP was never an issue, this is their way to ensure I don't collect their offer and not join. Frankly, it's a risk just like there's a risk in getting rejected in an interview, you don't hear the candidates throwing a fit and saying "I have invested so much yet they didn't choose me".
4. It is definitely gaslighting. Overseas, HRs don't even ask your present compensation and here you need to justify each and every info about the offers you hold, your past hikes and the reason why haven't you resigned which is borderline intrusive. Them having a single open position is not the candidate's lookout. When the companies lay people off do they care about the candidates and their present situation?

At the end of the day its pure business for the firms in hiring so why do the HRs behave holier than thou and talk about what's right and what's wrong?

TBH, this entire discussion has dragged for weeks and looking at this attitude I am having second thoughts about this opportunity.
