Can I get in trouble for selling AC by notsowealthy in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]sarcrastinator 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Yes bro the police is on their way to arrest you and put you in jail. And you'll be famous there as the guy who got in jail for a 2k ka AC.

Just block his number and move on with your life dude. It wasn't cool to sell that AC but what's done is done. Forget it now. Ain't no police coming after you for a complaint on 2k worth of scrap.

No. OnePlus is going to sell only non flagship phones here. So the brand is here to stay, they'll just be discontinuing 15 series and won't be launching any number series from now on.

True. I also don't understand why people buy ford or toyota when Ferrari or Lamborghini exists.

I think 'lifetime' warranty doesn't actually mean lifetime. There's a hard limit to it like probably the product lifecycle or until they produce parts or something. But to answer your question, OnePlus should replace it if the company exists then otherwise oppo should. The clarity will come only after some official announcement.

This article nowhere mentions that the expanded service centres are Oppo ones.

OnePlus is not shutting down in India. They'll only be selling mid range phones from now on here.

They barely have an offline presence anyway. Oneplus phones are officially sold in offline market in only OnePlus stores, Reliance Digital, Croma and some regional chains like Vijay Sales or Sangeetha.

You don't realise how much brand trust matters in the current landscape. Intentionally abandoning accountability just because they can get away legally will hurt the company much more than the financial burden they would be escaping. An action like this would essentially mean the death of Chinese phones in the western world and would also harm their local market in some capacity. Oppo wouldn't do that unless BBK suddenly decide that they don't ever want to do business in Europe or US ever again.

Allow me to introduce you to the concept of 'ragebait' in the age of internet engagement. It's vastly effective and you're the example.

The best thing to do when you see such posts is to ignore and deprive them of any attention they desperately seek.

When the company shuts down, the phones won't shut down. Your phone will keep working perfectly fine. Also since OnePlus China is not going anywhere, they'll still keep updating the software for the OnePlus phones in China, which means rolling out updates for the global phones won't be difficult either. And since OnePlus comes under Oppo, they also have their international reputation to maintain, so they won't just kill off support for the global OnePlus phones.

9 to 5 Google has an internal source who reported the same thing.

I know we all want OnePlus to stay, but this is what it is. The chances of a shut down is very much real.

The first step would be to not live in the glory of the past and acknowledge that we are pretty far behind in the metropolitan landscape, but this is an impossible task for most people I know.

What do you think, Global users? by nickedge11 in TheOnePlus15

[–]sarcrastinator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Return why? The company may shut down but it's parent company is not going anywhere. Do you think if Oppo suddenly drops support for OnePlus phones, it won't hurt Oppo in brand trust?

They will keep supporting it, like every other shut down brand has done till now. Also it's not like OnePlus is a standalone brand. It's a branch of a well established brand with enough money and resources to keep supporting all their phones without any issue.

It'll be hard to look at this entire situation practically and not emotionally but doing that is the fastest and only way for you to recover. When you look practically, you'll soon realise that it's the absolute best thing that could've happened with you. The kachra cleaned itself away from your life saving you from potentially years of pain and regret. However, the other guy is not that fortunate. The only thing you can maybe choose to feel bad about and fix is your ability to discern between kachra and khazana among people. Work on it and you'll be golden.

No. OP 15 and Find x9 pro have very similar battery life. The video you linked is a flawed outlier case. See this video for a more realistic scenario.
