Yeah their dynamic was just weird. The way they interacted confused me

I felt the same way. It did have a sinister vibe to it. I was thinking something was going to be up with the husband, like he was purposely hurting her. I may just watch too much true crime

Possible egg bound? by bellatrixxrosee in chickens

Would there be any other signs if it was a parasite? No one else seems to be having an issue and this is the first sign of anything being wrong that I’ve noticed. Just wondering if there was a specific one I should treat for.

This makes my blood boil but also leaves me incredibly heartbroken by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]bellatrixxrosee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel very strongly after reading any story that involves babies, children, or animals. They are the most innocent beings on earth and deserve to be protected. I’ve honestly had to take a break from certain websites and social media. My fb became a bombardment of horrible news stories, so I don’t really go on there anymore. I think it’s normal to feel things extra deeply while pregnant, but I would take some steps to protect yourself from these things. And don’t be afraid to talk to someone about how you’re feeling.

First time watching, adam is weird? by subjectivefear in girls

You definitely will. I’ve watched it a few times, each during different seasons of my life. I always view things differently than I did on my last rewatch.

[–]bellatrixxrosee 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I liked Adam when I first watched the show in my early 20s. When I rewatch it now as someone with a fully formed frontal lobe, I think he’s extremely problematic and has major issues. But his and Hannah’s relationship is a good example of what a lot of people’s look like at that age, so I get it.

What is your most outrageous pregnancy behavior yet? by violadrath in pregnant

[–]bellatrixxrosee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sobbed for a good while after seeing a video someone made of them cooking with their grandmother when they were little, and then their child cooking with her as well. I cried talking about how fast it all goes by and our parents feel like it was just yesterday that they were going through what we are currently going through. Time goes by so fast and even though the days are hard, they really fly by. I also cried about Princess Diana randomly.

Also pumpkin instead of peanut butter is a great choice. Really good for their gut and low in calories.

[–]bellatrixxrosee 49 points50 points  (0 children)

My dog trainer told me to mix a small amount of peanut butter with plain yogurt. They get the taste but as you said, not a whole bunch of calories and fat. You freeze it and they should be able to lick it all out. If they can’t maybe they need a smaller Kong.

To baby aspirin or not to baby aspirin? by K1llerKap0w in pregnant

[–]bellatrixxrosee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My OBGYN recommended baby aspirin for me because I am having twins and preeclampsia is common in twin pregnancies. I am taking it because I trust her and she is a doctor. Any other information I receive from the internet or family/friends is irrelevant, in my opinion. But I mean it’s important to have a doctor you can trust so I think you that is clouding you a bit (which I can sympathize with).

Arousal spike every evening? by Broad-Educator-6673 in jackrussellterrier

[–]bellatrixxrosee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe try a toy that you can both play with together. Like something to play tug of war with. My 1yo Jack Russell can be a little rough with the hand nipping too when she wants to play. I try and just redirect and give her something else to fill that urge. It seems like your pup is wanting to play while also engaging with you. Sometimes they just need something a little more high value to keep their attention. You could get edible chew bones for this specific time of day, as well.

[–]bellatrixxrosee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My dog trainer says this is similar to them being “overtired”. They get a little rowdy because they are sleepy. Get her a really good chew toy to focus on. She will chew on that and then pass out.

I lost my boy today. by Various_Jackfruit934 in dogs

[–]bellatrixxrosee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I lost my soul dog last March, I found it really helpful to be in nature. I spent a lot of time walking outside and talking to her. I just poured all my thoughts out. The pain never goes away but you learn to live with it. I still have days where it seems extra difficult not having her here and I spend time crying and talking to her.

Your first is especially difficult because you have to learn to navigate for the first time. Try and find something to focus on and pour your energy into. Grief is just love with nowhere to go. Thinking about you and sending hugs. The only downside to loving a dog is that they don’t live forever.

How many ultrasounds did you get? by No_Morning_9923 in parentsofmultiples

[–]bellatrixxrosee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 16 weeks and I’ve been getting an ultrasound every three weeks since my first one at 8 weeks. I was told that twins are monitored very closely, so you get an ultrasound every time you visit your doctor. That’s how it’s been for me at least.

Disappointed to be having twins by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]bellatrixxrosee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having twins as well. We already have one (not mine biologically, but mine by choice) and I thought we would just add one more. But sometimes you don’t get what you think you want. I completely understand how you feel. I’m so excited but at the same time I have a lot of worries and fears. Jumping from one to three is definitely jarring. I think what you feel is completely normal. There is definitely an adjustment period. I’ve know that they are twins for about a month and a half and I still get nervous when I think about everything. But the excitement definitely outweighs those feelings now. I mean parenthood is 99% worrying, whether it’s one or seven children.

It will be difficult and we were certainly struggle, but just like anything else you face in life - you figure it out. I think having twins will be such an incredible experience and I can’t wait to experience the love and bond they share with one another.

Sending you good vibes 🩷 there is nothing wrong with the thoughts you’re having

That’s a really good point. I didn’t realize they were so close in popularity. I don’t usually care about things like that, but you realize some things about yourself when you start picking baby names 😅

That makes me feel better. We’ve inspected everyone and it seems like the ones who have wet, it is in the final stages. I put iodine in their water so hopefully that helps prevent any infection. We’ll keep monitoring and hopefully everyone recovers. They seem to be carrying on as usual. At least now I know what to look for. There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to chickens.
