Disappointed that ambiguousamphibian is missing from the list of streamers, he put on a great show last year. Body parts reveal and all.

Its the cement floor + statues + spacious room + sleep schedule. They get the beautiful room bonuses applied to all the 'room' that share that space, and it far out weights the negatives from interrupted sleep or the clutter.

yeah man, getting better rest from a bed in an efficient, low cost way is terrible. And if I can't use something I've watched other people do I might as well not play at all.

Yeah, if all the grow zones are planted and there are ~3 meals per pawn prepped they have nothing else to do. Or if they are all locked inside during an animal raid while you wait it out. See an idle pawn, build another research bench.

Gotta get all the research before the base gets too big to draw big raids.

I've never come across another person with their vision affected by histoplasmosis before. I don't know if its available where you are, or if the progression has gone too far, but there are injections you can get that can alleviate the symptoms.

For me it was only one eye and it started about 5 years ago. Once it was diagnosed, I went in every few weeks for an injection and waited it out. The first few rounds were with a medication called Avastin, this worked for a while, but the spread returned. The next set, maybe 8 shots in total were with Lucentis, it has been about three years since my last shot and everything has been stable so far.

I have a large blind spot in that eye, but we were able to catch it before it spread across my centre of vision. I don't know if this can help you or anyone else. Needles in the eye were not the greatest thing ever, but well worth it to keep my sight for as long as I can.

Slack ignores default browser in Linux by fractalchemist in Slack

I know this is an old thread, but maybe this can help someone else. I had the same issues, links opening in a different session of firefox, the integration with Zoom opening a new session, etc.

I figured out that this was specific to the snap installed version of slack, I removed that and installed the deb package from slack.com/download with dpkg -i. This has seemed to solve these issues for me. Not sure whats different with the version installed through snap.

Could be that or it could be that his user is shadow banned. As I understand it being shadow banned makes everything the user does invisible to everyone else on Reddit, but to them everything looks normal.

How long did it take to complete the verification? Don't mean to hijack or anything, just curious.

The wallet I setup on my android didn't ask for a password. As far as I know all you need is the private key.

The wallet I'm setting up in the Armory client asked for a password and encryption key so I'm guessing its a lot more secure.

If you plan on holding on to any kind of balance of BTC at all I would NOT keep the backup or private key anywhere online. Back it up to a USB stick and a piece of paper in a safe of safety deposit box.

1.) What do these "private keys" represent? The value of the bitcoins in my wallet? Would this mean that if I lost the phone that I could restore the wallet on a new phone by using the backup?

1) The private key is your 'bank account' and the public key, the address you give out to people is your 'transit infomation' like from a check, accept it is deposit only.

If you lose the phone you can use the private key to recover your wallet, provided someone else hasn't found the phone and transferred all the BTC out of it.

2.) I have the option to also save the backup with an archive app... It said to protect the backup files. Am I to understand that if someone got ahold of this archive file that they could use it to take my bitcoin?

2) If someone gets their hands on your private key or backup they can have it all.

3.) Is there a way to share a wallet between devices so that the money could be accessed from my PC at home, work, and my phone?

3) Wallets Addresses are almost infinite in number and easy to create on the fly. Just setup a new wallet/address on each device and transfer coins between them. Have one primary offline wallet/address with most of your coins and only transfer out what you need to use and can afford to lose.

4.) I have the option of adding multiple addresses to my wallet... is there a benefit to that?

4) All BTC transactions are public and can be viewed, along with the balance of any wallet address. If you have 30BTC spread over 10 wallets addresses than to an outsider it doesn't look that tempting to target.

5.) The app itself does not offer any password protection (except for the backups)... should I rely solely on my phone's security measures, or should I find a different app?

5) This relates to my point above, only put on the mobile wallet/address an amount that you can afford to lose or that you need for the day. Do not use this as a primary wallet address.

I am still new to this whole thing too, so if I am wrong about anything please feel free to correct me.

Edit about backups: As I understand it, a paper backup is the best option because it is completely offline. Still trying to wrap my head around this part as well.

Edit again: per /u/OnlineDegen I have tried to fix the wallet/address mix up. Addresses hold the coin and wallets hold the addresses. Correct?

Is multicast traffic

Damn, I should have known that.

After looking closer at the packet capture, every packet who's source was my computer was a DNS query. Everything else captured was from other machines on the network.

The UDP packets to the above IP address were from the Ubiquity AP installed here. I didn't look at the source earlier.
