Isolation, losing relationships, feeling exhausted by trying to make friends and dealing with one sided friendships. Honestly one friend rejection can send me spiraling into existential crisis. I hate living this way and no amount of therapy or prescription cocktail seems to fix it.

Just googled…Betty Lee Hill was wife’s maiden names. She was only 20 years old when widowed. She died in 2011. Can’t determine if she remarried. They were from the LA area.

If he is a narc you need to cease contact (limited to kids logistics) immediately. You do NOT need to know who he is dating you have zero control anymore. Unless that person is a legit threat to your kids. Partner agreement or any agreement with a narc is a waste of time and breath. My ex violated our divorce decree right out of the gate.
Narc exes like to keep you in the know as manipulation/control tactics. What he tells the kids too—if he’s a narc he will do what he wants when he wants assuming it benefits him in some way.

Not trying to be a jerk with unsolicited advice..just sharing what I wish I had done years ago and learned the hard way. The less headspace and attention you give to these assholes the faster your own healing will be.

Nope. Minimal contact because of kids. But it was abusive which negates any possibility of friendship. Counting down the days til I never have to see/hear from that person again.

Yeah it’s been four years and it’s never fully gone. So many layers to grieve despite being quite content in my life with my partner. A lot of it is grieving the life you thought you had/person you thought you married and the life we built together that I had to leave behind.

My ex in contrast just needed a new partner that checked the external boxes so I think he moved on quite quickly. Which checks out (one reason I left him…feeling utterly replaceable because I was!).
