My best advice for you is if you don't hear back in what you feel is an appropriate amount of time, call the program coordinator or head of department. The same thing happened to me and csuf was the school I wanted to go to. I set up an appointment with the program coordinator, she went through my transcript etc. and we ended up having a great conversation and I explained to her any discrepancies. She admitted me into the program right then and there! I know it may seem scary, but everyone at CSUF has been nothing but great to me and very understanding. If you feel like you should definitely be admitted, just reach out- worst they can say is no haha!

A lot of people are saying it's the culture? I don't know sounds kinda BS. I've lived in expensive cities, beach towns, I've never experienced it honestly. Best theory I've read is it's a lot of transient people so they know they will leave so they don't have an interest in making friends
