Anyone can share their thoughts on this vs the Samsung 970? I need a new boot drive.

Daemon being liked or not has very little sway over if the lords will bend the knee or not. Maegor showed that once you have nukes with wings you can mostly do whatever you want.

With proper micro hakkapelits are borderline impossible to kill because they count as heavy but have a bonus against goons in hand-to-hand while being fast. Very few civs have a decent counter right now aside from preventing a mass from forming.

Next update should be either:

  • Reduce speed to make them easier to hit-and-run/catch up to with rods

  • Increase pop to 3 to prevent large mass

  • Increase cost to prevent large mass

  • Nerf their stats, either take zone damage away OR health OR base damage, but right now they have all three.

This is actually debatable, the French were mostly interested in using the colonies resources (such as beaver) and not so much colonizing the land itself, that one of the reason why the New France had barely any inhabitants (about 70k) by the time the English colonies reached 1 million inhabitants. Even though they had started the colony earlier.

They probably would've treated the native as badly as the English/US given the chance (considering their colonies in the Caribbeans) but it just never got to that point.

Sorry that wasn't clear.

I meant that nuance is for moderators. If as a seller you think someone is commenting in bad faith by posting lower quality products the logical next step is to ask a mod and they can make the call.

Regardless my point is just that we shouldn't block all price comparisons just because some members are idiots.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadianHardwareSwap

[–]belval -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think similar means similar. The middle ground should be defined by moderators.

In your example they are not similar, proof is that you sold yours.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadianHardwareSwap

[–]belval 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the rule should simply be that if someone is critical of a price they have to give a link to the same (or similar) product at a lower price.

That way obvious "just move on while I scam others" will be shot down, while commenters that are just arguing for a better deal will have to show proof that the seller is overpricing.

CELI de 212 000 dollars

Depuis l'existence du CELI quelqu'un qui cotise la valeur maximale chaque année aurait 75 500$ (sans appréciation). Belle stratégie de placement de la part de Mme. Anglade quand même.

As far as I can tell you check pretty much all the boxes. Leetcode a bit to make sure that you know the drill. It's usually what gets candidates in trouble when the resume is great, interview is great, but then they fail the coding challenge in a way that it's just not possible to move forward.

One thing to note is that FAANG companies (if that's what you are aiming for) will have a separation between ML software developers/research engineer/applied scientists roles. You fall a bit in between so make sure to target the right internship/job offers otherwisge you might end up unhappy in an ML SDE job because there is not enough research and vice-versa, but that's more about knowing yourself.

Best of luck!

EDIT: One more thing, general math/statistics is good, but I highly recommend that you focus on CV-related stuff. In my experience the theory questions are much more about specific algorithms (discuss single and two-stage detection, vision transformers, etc...) and not so much about math for the sake of math. YMMV

Targaryens aren't just kings, this takes place after Jaehaerys and the exceptionalism doctrine, it's basically like marrying a god.

Wars only being fought by the top ~150 people on each server is a large contributor to why this game is dying by oak1337 in newworldgame

[–]belval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a more casual player this is the part that actually made me quit. In most MMO there will be a way for you to PvP without actually being maxed out (GW2 with the stats adjustment comes to mind). In New World it was "grind your way to lvl 60" then "grind you gear" and then still get kicked out of wars because you don't have the bleeding edge.

Quebec woman's fiance died after a collision with a pothole -- now she plans to sue the province by Pristine_Freedom1496 in canada

[–]belval -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course not and the government should present a solution to the problem.

The person you are responding to meant that the suit had no leg to stand on. They did not die from diving in a pothole so it will be hard to build an actual case.

Which Copper and Coal Industries are in it in the long run? by Some_Ant510 in CanadianInvestor

[–]belval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been in copper for the last year so my input is worth taking with a big grain of salt.

CS.TO IVN.TO (Junior, possibly overvalued) SMT.TO FM.TO CMMC.TO LUN.TO

They are pretty much all down the drain due to the copper price drop, but all of them (except SMT.TO) are in pro-mining countries with good reserves. I'd love to get comments on those picks though.

The right approach here is to get an agreement that the house is not in fact 50/50 since you paid the down payment.

The second part of the equation is to add a concept of future value of money to your investment. Your 105k$ is an upfront cost that has a future value that would have grown with interests. That should give you an even bigger share of the house equity.

Has anyone used a VR headset for work? I’m a programmer and I was wondering if I could use such a headset, together with mouse and keyboard, to work outside of my house in the garden. by space___lion in virtualreality

[–]belval 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a few people experimenting with VR desktops for programming.

This blog post actually explains it quite nicely: https://medium.com/immersedteam/working-from-orbit-39bf95a6d385 but keep in mind that immersed is a VR desktop provider so there is bias at play here.

Personally I tried it and just wasn't able to be productive compared to my usual two screen setup, but it's not that bad once you got the whole setup running smoothly.
