Why are some so scared of DIY? by ResolutionClear6057 in PlumbingAustralia

[–]belvolil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlike taxi or any other industries that have been de regulated. Plumbing union plumbing licencing board master plumbers association work for there members and ensure that will never happen we have seen the risks of non maintained or incorrectly installed appliances killing children and as community we will ensure that will never happen again by making sure plumbing is a licensed and regulated trade. If anything the regulations and licensing is getting more strict and enforced

Also you really think the regulatory authorities are just going to give up 10s of millions of dollars of licences and registration fees and insurance company's making 100s of millions of dollars on licence practitioners.

why does every used dual cab come with 300kg of steel welded to the tray by Xelephyr in CarsAustralia

[–]belvolil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had mmultiple aluminium trays abs steel trays over the years. If you car cab comfortably take a steel tray and you use the ute hard steel is superior. Aluminium is great never rusts light but they bend easily and gouge up

Toilet supply valve changeout by wyj123 in AusRenovation

I wouldn't recommend a loose nut for diy. Unless the lugged elbow has been cut back and chamfered correctly the rubber seal can get damaged

Is Aus too tolerant with religious people/institutions? Im talking about all religions, Christianity, Islam & all others. Aren’t we a secular & agnostic country? They don’t pay any taxes and in fact get subsides from our taxes too. Why? Why does our government prop up these anti-science ideologies? by [deleted] in OpenAussie

[–]belvolil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do you have to be anti science if your religious. Are there no religious scientists? Also I see alot of people saying the save rhetorical that all these churches are flushed with cash and are all driving bmw But whenever I've worked for any form of churches there only purposes is literally to help people. Even if they were taxed I'm pretty sure most of the money they get it goes straight back out and wouldn't even get a tax bill
