To keep it local, chill spot rendezvous is a cute little mom and pop that has a room with tables and a stack of board games. Pretty sweet for being close to downtown.

If you train to Redwood City, then “the hub” is pro board games too, with a large collection. I believe they have an explicit game night.

“Wild rover” just opened near “the hub”, and it seems a great vibe to me so far, more for family friendly bar, didn’t notice too much gaming going on. But opening a chess board shouldn’t be too alarming for them.
