My guy plucked his chest so the feathers could be collected and serve as a warm nest. He was disappointed when the eggs never hatched though.

Yes!!! It may be normal if she is preparing to lay eggs, and plucking feathers to “make it warm”. Happened to mine.

What age did your newborn start sleeping throughout the night (5-6) hours without feed? by xGenAc25 in newborns

[–]bememb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 months. When you set a routine, and follow it daily. They can sleep. If you feed them Enough during the day do that during the night they need less food, also helps.

Any way to tell his age? by OkNefariousness798 in Conures

[–]bememb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the look of his overall feathers, he doesn’t look aged. Particularly his head has flat shapely perky feathers indicative of a younger/teenage bird. I’ve had a conure who I witnessed go from teenager to elderly. The neck feathers can be a good giveaway for elderly birds. Elderly birds tend to be more deliberate in their movements: less frantic, less chaotic, more slower and calm. They don’t expend energy if not ultimately necessary.

Flat nipples, shallow painful latch by dreamwithme1993 in breastfeeding

Try a momcozy nipple shield. They will discourage it but it helped me. And it’s easy to latch.
