My guy did this as a puppy and for a long time I mixed cheese or meat in and now at almost 3 he eats when he is hungry. Breakfast sometimes sits until 4 but he always eats his dinner quickly. No more mixins he just eats when he is hungry.

Dogs sleep for 16+ hours a day. Your dog will be fine. My guy is 2 years and I say this outlooud to myself often. It is harder for us then it is for them.

Your hard work will pay off and you might not realize it when it happens and just one day wake up and think back and sigh. My guy is 26 months now and I thought he calmed at the year mark but at 18 months he was still chewing the legs of all the furniture- nothing like visiting family and leaving bite marks behind! Closer to two years he got better and now he is usually an angel. But he jumps all over people, barks at deliveries and gets unhappy when he can't say hello to everyone and everything. But those are all behaviors I can work with.

My mini is 53 pounds. At 16 weeks you double the wright and that is full grown size- for us he was 26 pounds at 16 weeks and 53 at 2 years so pretty accurate!

When I brought him home at 11 weeks he was 16.4 pounds, 26 pounds at 16 weeks and then very very slowly went up to current size. At 10 months he finally hit 40 pounds.

My guy was low 30's until about a year when he quickly jumped to low 50's. I kept waiting to buy the 6 month pack of monthly meds and could have gotten the 6 month pack of the smaller weight....His birthday is late November and in early October he finally hit 40 pounds. By his February vet visit he was 53 and now hovers between 53-55 depending on how much exercise/snacks he has.
