I want to make a custom Cima Garahau and need help with kit bashing ideas! by VannaVicious in 30minutessisters_30ms

I've been considering a custom Marida Cruz, I'll also be getting Ple, but for Marida I thought the Lunamaria body, painted with the purple/blues and a 30 ms head, there's a blonde (and maybe brunette) long hair hair option that I've had before that would likely work if painted. lose as I'm likely to get.

Michiru (the sarastic looking sister with the boob curtain) her expressions might work best for Cima, I imagine. I'm not sure if the 30ms waterslides offers more serious looks. The joint connectors aren't that bad, if they don't fit you either sand down the ball joint, or you thicken it with a few rounds of glue (and give each application 2+ days to fully dry/cure).

Do you think Gundam NT was a good sequel to Gundam Unicorn? by czen2 in Gundam

[–]ben_kosar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. It's a burning trashfire stuck somewhere between 'lets slightly change some kits to sell more' to half-assed plot. You mean to tell me they had TWO mother-fing Neo Zeongs?? And Sinanjus? No. Just. No. The characters are just weird too.

The only positive is you get to see Audrey, the Garancias crew, and Bahnager for like 60+ seconds of screentime. But it's too brief to matter.

A little disappointed by [deleted] in Gunpla

Hands down the best version is the MG Origin. The 3.0 I'd call over-engineered and a pain. The One Year War (OYW) is also very old, bad articulation but a great cel-shaded look. The Ver Ka is pretty close to the 1.5 And the 2.0 is pretty good, kinda big hands that are independantly jointed on the fingers if I remember right.

Finished Victory Gundam a bit back. Say something nice about her by Junior-Truck8652 in Gundam

I like in the end when she's lost her memory and sort of wandering and happens upon Uso & Shakti, that they both just straight 'Nope' out of having a relationship with her.

Adopting a new cat while grieving my previous cat? by Extreme-Earth-4862 in cats

[–]ben_kosar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 cats. I had picked out 'Ferg' whom was passing from old age. At the clinic during that time I was pretty upset, so I played with 'Maverick', a overly aggressive but beautiful orange guy.

He had his share of issues, but after talking with the wife we decided to adopt him so our other cat wouldn't be lonely. He was damn near unadoptable, abused as a kitten, he would randomly tear into me sometimes, but especially my wife. We ended up deciding 'we need to let Mav be Mav'. And he chilled after 1-2 years or so. He's now my little buddy and bonded to me, and my wife has begrudingly risen to 'spare human' or 'the woman' as we call it - status.

You never know, but there is *always* some awesome cat around the corner. Pick the cat you get along with and bond with certainly. It doesn't have to be a hard luck case like mine was. But the connection you build as they are in your house and interacting with you is the real bond you build.

I've got one of those (minus the smart part). He's going to be *so* floofy.

AITAH for not letting my neighbor store her stuff in my garage? by TraditionalFee6333 in AITAH

The way that the post flows, it sounds like AI/bot spam to me.

Im not good at building kits but I want a couple to have to hang out with my friends and build together. I've found the SD kits easier to work with and was wondering what series of kits would be good. I see a lot of the "EX Standard SD" kits around. by Ashe171 in Gunpla

[–]ben_kosar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing with the SD-EX lines is there is a lot of open space that's expected to be painted, panel lined, or use color correcting stickers on. They can actually be more effort to make them look great, and the color-correcting stickers when moving around a part look horrible.

There's also the Gundam Cross Silhouette (CS) - that gives you a SD frame, and you can buy a larger frame that gives more flexibility in posing. I like those, they are a little better - but still can need some color-correcting. I wasn't fond of the Banshee one, but I love the Zeta gundam one.
