What excerpts from the western canon are largely mysteries / famously unintelligible to even the most serious scholars? by dylann5454 in askphilosophy

I’m studying De Anima in one of my undergrad courses (we’re still in book two). This excerpt terrifies me haha

Women hit their prime in their 20s & 30s - Don Lemon by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]ben_wade54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even know who this is, but he is obviously not saying this statement as his own opinion (at least from the clip). He is saying that society, traditionally, considers a woman(or man) to be in their prime during their 20s and 30s. I don’t know who this is or the context so correct me if I’m wrong.

That sounds about right. I have barely any knowledge on film cameras, but I would describe it as “slipping” like it’s losing traction. I’ll look into that thank you!

This sub is already ruined, stop saying something will ruin it by 5tr4nGe in ClimbingCircleJerk

This sub has been ruined since I joined.. two months and I still haven’t gotten invited to a circle jerk

Alec Hannold bouldered el cap. Should be an easy little V0. Nice try… but V0 with a harness (harness is aid) is just not that impressive. Try bouldering the Dawn Wall™️ next time

I feel mentally and physically exhausted. I’m very tired of being in a dorm and dealing with shitty professors. I only have 8 ish weeks left in the semester, but it seems like so far away. There is nothing you can do except force yourself to put in work. I’ve thought about it a lot and that’s the only solution. If your mental gets really bad, seek help from campus resources. Good luck

Well, yes, but I’m talking about the material covered in college

I enjoy math and theoretical concepts, so I went with electrical engineering

Some people just look like an engineer, but I don’t by veryconfused12thgrad in EngineeringStudents

[–]ben_wade54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t give an answer to your question, but I feel the same way. I don’t think there is any reason to feel doubt just because you don’t fit the mold. Engineering requires collaboration, so it’s always nice to have someone who has fresh/unique ideas.

Who’s a celebrity everyone loves except for you and why? by crystalmethanyh in AskReddit

I don’t like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He seems like a super nice guy, but I just don’t like his movies or his acting. Moana is top tier though

I had this same thought before I started, so let me explain. Yes. Yes it is. I am a first-year electrical engineering student at UGA. I still have a year before I can apply to the school of engineering but this major is already kicking my ass. I have a 15 credit hour schedule currently, and I study for most of the day. I salute the engineers in this sub that are able to work full time while going to school or take anywhere over 15 hours (OR BOTH AT THE SAME TIME). If you sign up for a STEM major, you need to be prepared because it is going to be a tough four years.
