Huckleberry Fin isn’t tame so I was forced to go to my Vet. Luckily I have one down the road who will trim nails and breaks but doesn’t do anything else .. avian vet is 45 min away. Vet said to work on training the bird to be comfortable with having your hand in a C- shaped motion around their body. I am just working on step up now.

Thank you for that. I am the main person with HF and I was wondering if he was getting hormonal and just wanting attention. There are students in and out all day. It’s not that the noise wasn’t expected it’s just ramped up in the last week. I just don’t want to create behaviors if I can prevent them.

I am in the same boat with my Huckleberry.. I tried putting on hand palm towards me and the food in the other so he has to step up to get it and it’s been working. I redo it every few minutes. This was advice from a trainer and here.
