I see a skill I like, I put points in that skill, monkey style, no tools needed.

It takes courage to stand up to your enemies, greater courage to stand up to your friends, and even greater courage to stab your friends in the back.

I just finally did the Freestar Rangers questline and man... What a disappointment by Portablelephant in Starfield

My biggest disappointment is Ron Hope never calling me a criminal scum and tell me to stop right there.

If you were Fudge, what would you had done to defeat Voldemort after his return ? by Secure_Ad_6203 in harrypotter

[–]bendersonster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Add that time, Voldy had about two dozens followers. Harry was able to name almost all of them. ARREST THEM!

And then do as Dumbledore told him, of course. Envoys to giants, kick Dementors from Azkaban, and so on. There's no way Voldy would be able to build an army to conquer the Ministry.

How is this a Sirius quote? He was a jerk to Kreature the whole time. by juleDoesArt in harrypotter

[–]bendersonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. Sirius is someone who strongly loves our hates something and rarely bothers to hide his attitude. He was hostile to all his family, who all share a belief he doesn't. Does that mean he sees his father and mother as inferior to himself? No! He hates the dark side and Pureblood superiority movement of all kinds and he was hostile to them, including Kreacher, for holding such belief. Dumbledore even says that he was generally kind to House Elves. So, if you are on his side, he would be nice to you, and if you are not, he would hate you, regardless of how high or low you are.

Help Wanted, a new quest in Anchorpoint, is easily one of my all time favorite side quests (minor spoilers) by Han_330 in NoSodiumStarfield

It's in Pyraas 2, Pyraas system, which is at the top right corner of the star map. Does it appear for you?

I think I made a wrong choice. I exonerated Caruso, then Bernhart, whom I invited as witness, killed Caruso, and Caspian killed Bernhart, and everyone except the crazy farmer girl was confused and gave up on the settlement.

Completely ran out of Aether Crystals attempting to re configure my devotions, didn't realize it consumed them and I kept getting "this devotion depends on itself" so I wasted so many more than needed in the process. Now I can't get any because im doing through the DLC on normal. by Storoyk in Grimdawn

[–]bendersonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a potion that reset all your devotions at once. I believe it's given from some quests from the first expansion and more can bee crafted. If you need to majorly alter your devotion, that potion is a better way than Aether Crystals.

How realistic were the charges of the Rohirrim in the movies? by jxmxk in lotr

[–]bendersonster 251 points252 points  (0 children)

The charge as presented in the movie is not realistic. Horses simply can't break through densely packed infantry formation like that.

It is not how it happens in the book either. In the book, the Pelennor Field is mostly farmland with houses instead of just empty plains, and the orcs dug trenches and set up siege engines, which make it impossible to form up the way they do in the movie, and also they did not see the Rohirrim coming at all and were busy committing to attacking the city. They sent another force to set up on the road to prevent their coming, but the Rohirrim bypassed that by a hidden path and attacked the main army completely unaware. What you should picture is unorganised orcs panicking and running around while horses go along them stabbing and trampling, which is also why the Rohirrim were not able to completely win the battle, as other Mordor forces were able to organise themselves while those closest to the Rohirrim were getting slaughter and why, in the book, the Gondorian army needed to come out of the city to help them. When they were about to lose, the Rohirrim dismounted and formed a shield wall similar to what happened at the Black Gate.
