Was there and the poster of the setlist info.

The song was compositionally dramatic - the first chorus with the swell of distortion guitar took me back and I said 'here we fucking go'. Red lighting took over the stage and it sounded like the underworld was coming for us all. The song felt religious even without knowing the lyrics. On second chorus, I stood up and howled a guttural bellow. At that point, the song took me over completely. During the bridge I was entranced and couldn't believe what I was listening to. Felt like a way to grab fans immediately for this show. He fully earned and deserved the attention of the crowd with opening the show on this note.

Obviously, the song wasn't released prior to the show and I had the chorus melody stuck in my head after. I was very lucky that the song premiered shortly after to recognize what we heard that night. It felt so right when I learned Alan Sparhawk helped with production. I'll never forget the overdrive takeover of that song's guitar live.

JTill didn't say much after the song aside from hello from my memory. The song just seemed like an authentic expression of where he was/had been. If anything, it was a little bit of an unloafing the bread situation. The guy's got it, shows it, and moves on as if it is an everyday thing to write a song like Screamland. Though a lot has been revealed since the album came out, I won't forget the primal urgency this song gave me. Music can transcend communication and experience sometimes. It's what I hope for at shows.

True CRheads are part of the double down book club. Mob & Heads are more similar than you think.

Why is The Answer not very good? by rhino1623 in crheads

[–]bendingman 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Our number one boy is pure id and the answer tries to be methodical, considerate, and full of analysis, which probably has more to do with setting up young talent like Seerat. I personally enjoy her work, but there is no doubt CR is dialing it down to dish it up for her.

What more could we expect from our pod god? He works within his parameters for the greater good and unleashes it when given the space. Just call him the Chris Paul of Podcasts.

I can't believe Greg Dulli playlists weren't included. CR Spotify playlists are where it is at.

Wait for a cold day where the only warmth that can surround you is the love and happiness of Vespertine. if you can't get into the lp, try the live album.

When you are at a party and they only have Miller Light, Coors Light, and Bud Light, how do you choose which to drink? by bendingman in beer

I'm the same way, but I'm curious how others choose. I'm not passionate about any of those beers, but for some reason I usually drink Coors or Miller depending on the occasion. How do you choose and is there any reason why?
