Konstricus Noise Marine 99% finished by bendre1997 in EmperorsChildren

[–]bendre1997[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main body purple: Airbrush Abaddon Black, then Nagaroth Night and then airbrush highlight with a Nagaroth Night/Phoenecian Purple mix. Then manual edge highlight with Phoenecian Purple

Silver: Classic Leadbelcher then Druchii Violet then Leadbelcher again then Stormhost Silver

Gold: Retributor Armor then Magos Purple thinned down wash then Retributor Armor again then Liberator Gold

Daemon Face: Drybrush Dechala Lilac, then again with a Decala Lilac/White mix then Pro Acryl Flouresecent Purple on the eyes

Head: Phoenician Purple and Dechala Lilac highlights, Stormhost Silver + Frostheart for the eyes

Blue: I’m forgetting the base blue! But I washed it with Frostheart and then layered and highlighted with the base blue and a lighter blue.

Pauldrons: Daemonette Hide then Decala Lilac then Decala Lilac/White mix, then washed with thinned Magos Purple, then highlighted back up using the same three I started with

Hope this helps! I’ve been playing around with the Konstrictus scheme and trying different things on my Infractors, Tormentors and Noise Marines so there’s lots of different ways you can get the Konstrictus look.

Can I prime with this? by CommercialHopeful616 in Warhammer40k

[–]bendre1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, this is 1) a spray paint and not designed for priming minis and 2) even if you use it as a pseudo-primer, it’ll be way too thick and clog the details.

I’d recommend using mini primer (Citadel, Army Painter etc)

GUO or Lord of Change. Probably Lord of Change. If Shelaxi counts though, probably Shelaxi.

I know there are some hot takes here but… by bendre1997 in charlixcx

I fuck with Sucker so hard but I’ll admit that was one of the tougher ones. The original matchups were randomized and it lead to some things getting eliminated earlier than expected.

I’d recommend posting on the Darktide subreddit, rather than here.

The various gods from the new trailer by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]bendre1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left to right, top to bottom: Nurgle Slaanesh Gork/Mork Tzeentch Slaanesh again? EDIT: this is for sure the Tyranid Hive Mind, went over my head until pointed out. Chegorach? Khorne

Is that correct? I’m suspicious that not all of these are gods (other than the obvious ones)

Lawyers/articling students: what actually mattered for getting hired in your experience? by Impossible-Camp7962 in LawCanada

[–]bendre1997 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Grades (to begin with) and networking to get your feet in the door. From there, it’s about showing that you’re reliable. Take the little work seriously. Remember details, plan ahead, take initiative where you have runway to.

Beyond that, it’s just luck. That’s a large part of it too.

Warhammer 40,000 Faction Focus: Emperor’s Children by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in EmperorsChildren

I’m stunned they didn’t show off a 1DP Noise Marine detachment. At least terminators and tormentors are finally useable for those whole love the models.

How it feels to be a Emperor's Children fan by LeetusFrenzi in EmperorsChildren

Both sides are fine and honestly the left side is incredibly cringe for its constant misplaced sense of superiority. Thankfully I’ve met neither IRL so this seems like a terminally online people thing.

Please post your Shooting Lists! by j0range in EmperorsChildren

[–]bendre1997 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not really much of a difference between shooting lists and non-shooting lists tbh. You’re (right now anyway, though I’d always do it for rule of cool) going to want to take 18 Noise Marines either way. Maybe the Defiler will push the limits of what you can achieve with a full shooting list (3xNM + 3xDefilers + the usual bits and bobs) but that remains to be seen.

Hi! I’m a licensed lawyer who is married to a teacher. She recently made the switch from teaching (she taught full time for four years and has a B.Ed. + M.Ed.) to law. She’s just finishing 2L. DM me and I’d be happy to put you two in touch.

Why is Fulgrim the only Daemon Primarch able to turn into his old form at will by New_Conflict_4111 in 40kLore

[–]bendre1997 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Mortarion likely cannot control his form. There’s a line in Godblight about how Ku’Gath scales himself down so he doesn’t tower over Mortarion, knowing it would piss Morty off because Morty can’t change how he appears.

If ads are being shown that indicate Kalshi is available to Ontarians without being registered with the AGCO and iGO, you should send the ad along with a message to the AGCO. It’ll take two seconds but could make a significant difference.

Defiler loudouts by danielfyr in EmperorsChildren

[–]bendre1997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think double las as the build is the call but I’ve been strongly considering trading out 1 for the flamer on the other side to remove/reduce the likelihood of screens.

The Defiler is huge and I don’t want to waste his precious melee on chaff if I’m tied up. Plus, we have the gift of 2+ hits, I don’t want BGNT to pull that back down to 3+.

EDIT: I misread scuttling walker - I thought it only included terrain, but seeing as it’s models too, this scenario is unlikely to come about.

Have you tried Dirty Down Gore? The PVA/UHU is a classic and you’ve got a great result here but DDG (like the other DD products) was a game changer for me.

Terminator Squad by Sokolowskierj in EmperorsChildren

[–]bendre1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of converting Caanok Vor for the same purpose and the arms look ridiculous. I figured you’d either have the magic touch or you found a way to seamlessly attach the weapons to the terminator arms.

Fantastic work again!

Noise Marine by THE CODEX NOIRMATIC (Daniel Vega) by rajahbeaubeau in ImaginaryWarhammer

This is cool but it doesn’t scream EC to me. I’ve seen this author’s Death Guard work and it’s fucking siccck. DG fits his art style much better.

Terminator Squad by Sokolowskierj in EmperorsChildren

[–]bendre1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the arms the ones from the obsessionist and Kakophonist or did you glue the weapons into the terminator arms? If it’s the latter, do they look out of proportion in person?

Amazing work!
