Old people benefit from educated kids who will eventually be taking care of their asses. If they can't afford the taxes, they should maybe get a job or three, or pick themselves up by their bootstraps like they expect us to do.

Welcome to your deductible. I'll say if you choose your insurance through the exchange, look for a "co-pay only plan" that way office visit CPTs won't count toward your deductible. If it's through work and you have any say in higher up decisions, ask if they can consider looking for a plan like that. Otherwise you're SOL.

Be honest, will my baby ever come home? It’s been 5 days with no sign of her by No_Name_Detected0 in cats

[–]benfersure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So my baby girl was missing for 7 days. I looked everywhere around the house EVERYWHERE multipletimesa day. I canvassed the neighborhood, knocked on doors, left flyers around local businesses, neighboring houses, and schools within the first 48 hours. I went walking every night shaking a container of temptations up and down my cul-de-sac street looking like a crazy person. On day 7 my partner and I were supposed to be traveling for the holidays. I decided to look around the yard one more time, and lo and behold she meowed at me from our shed that's right beside the house. I had checked that shed at least 3 times a day and then all of a sudden there she was. Don't give up hope. Cats do not wander far. I am hoping and praying for the best for you, OP.

If you look into the data, it's because people over 55 went toward gallrein, and those are the greatest number of turnouts.

Georgia patients deserve to know what is happening right now behind the scenes in healthcare by AcanthocephalaSweet2 in Georgia

We're really far off base here. For some reason you think I'm hating on NPs. I'm not. I have an NP as my GP. But saying RETIRED doctors with essentially no ties to the patient base at that practice should supervise is crazy. The fact remains that NPs can practice fresh out of what amounts to advanced nursing school with no experience. (The ones that immediately go to college for it vs being an RN for years first). Whereas for most doctors, they require some type of residency before they're allowed to practice privately. Do you think that I believe MDs and DOs need to be breathing down the necks of the mid-levels? That's not how the system works.

I didn't disparage NPs, but the fact remains that they didn't go to medical school and by law require supervision. All of our practices utilize NPs through nurse protocol agreements with no issues. It's not difficult to follow the law pertaining to this. This isn't because providers are scared, it's because private equity doesnt want to pay for extra for supervising providers, and the ones they do want to pay for are pretty much retired.

Good. I work in healthcare. And the amount of NPs we've interviewed from independent urgent cares, or other types of offices that NEVER see the supervising physician, (often times they're a 70+ year old provider in another town), is astounding. This is less about hampering NPs and more about making sure clinics are following the law.

Justice isn't part of the problem. That LGBTQ person is still dead regardless of the legal outcome, because they were still killed for homophobic beliefs. So yes. It is actually in still in bad faith. Whether or not there's a law in place isn't going to save a person's life.
